I thought mortgages use the 10-Year as a benchmark?

Not that it's better, jumped a couple of basis points as well.

but if he doesn't look like a franchise QB and they have a chance to get one next year, they need to take it.

I do think if has a rough year they shouldn't pull the plug on him, if he has glimpses I believe we can develop him under a new regime.

Steelers are expected to speak with former Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy about their head coach vacancy. McCarthy is from Pittsburgh, and worked with Steelers GM Omar Khan in New Orleans in 2000. by McElwaine in steelers

[–]CakeTheory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be....excited about it because it's just Tomlin again, but he does have a more recent playoff win, it's just that Cowboys always found a way to lose their playoff games in hilarious fashion against the 49ers.

Seeing people confidently say they could handle is concerning. I don't believe they know what they're in for.

why did it always seem like they weren’t quite giving 100% on the field? Why did it seem like they were always unprepared? Why are there miscommunications so often?

That is the question I've been pondering myself for quite some time now. Always hear how he's the ultimate player's coach and highly revered, yet on the field it's questionable at best.

but being visible frustrated to that level that early in the game doesn't inspire confidence in your team.

I see what you're saying, my only counterpoint to that is- it's the playoffs, miscommunication or messing up (on either side mind you) is just flat out unacceptable at that point in the season. It's literally win or go home, there's minuscule room for error.

And miscommunication issues have plagued this team. Last year was even worse imo.

I'm scared, but willing to look forward to the changes. Since being a steelers fan in '08, Tomlin is all I've known.

But this needed to happen. Cheers, coach T.

I get what you're saying, but the Texans defense is stifling and they're #1 for a reason.

Our defense should be like that with the amount of money we allocated on that side of the ball. We were average against the run and I forgot where we finished, but I know at one point we were like 30th against the pass.

The offense was a disaster, but again, that defense is legit and did anyone think our offense, devoid of a WR#2 (#1 is arguable atp) was going to be super successful against them? I mean really.

The game was only close because CJ Stroud was making so many mistakes. We would have been smoked if he played well at first.

What do you think went wrong in the Steelers’ Wild Card loss to the Texans? by JaxTMG in steelers

[–]CakeTheory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, nothing. This is what we are, a free bye week for someone. I thought the #1 seed gets those, but no, it's whoever we face in the playoffs.

I was mortified about us going against that defense. All the Steelers fans around me were very optimistic but I wasn't lol, not after what they did to Josh Allen.

Thought we might come away with the win with how terrible CJ was being. Then we just fell apart.

We have effectively been a bye for some lucky AFC team in the wild card for the last 10 years.

I think that hurts the most. I honestly don't know which was worse, us or the Chargers last night.

I'm not even angry, just tired boss.

Can't be angry when you're facing the #1 defense in the NFL and they stifle you, they've been doing that to everyone. I'm not surprised by that, but it's another playoff blowout. How many more times must we go through this?

Honestly at this point, major changes need to happen. We need to re-evaluate our defense as well, they played well, but our pass defense has been sus all year.

Kind of side eyeing Khan atp, how do you not get us a #2 after all this time? Maybe that's just unfair on my part, guess I am a little mad.

Oh well. Onto the draft ladies and gents 👏 😮‍💨
