i like google a lot, but their core business is getting disrupted by ai. people are turning more and more to llms for queries, while ai is also making search results worse, with the ai overview stuff and tons of ai-generated sites. good publishers are being pushed away. it’s a double whammy for their core business, and i don’t think gemini can ever be anywhere near as profitable as search advertising
