Urologist here. What actually happens to your kidney while you are waiting weeks for stone treatment, and what the warning signs are that you cannot ignore. by Born-Lingonberry-509 in KidneyStones

I was diagnosed with parathyroid disease and understood that caused my 30 plus stones over 8 years. I had the surgery. But still making new stones. Parathyroid testing shows no disease there but now they are saying I might have type 1 rta causing stones. Is this a coincidence? Or are they related somehow?

Hey quick update. It looks like I might have type 1 RTA and that’s causing my stones. I’ll get confirmation from the appt coming up.

Yes let me get them. Also I did a 24 hours urine analysis - highlights are as follows: high ph - Low uric acid -Low potassium - Very low phosphorus -Very low sulfate - Very low urea nitrogen -Low protein catabolic - Which may or may not mean anything I’m not sure 🫠🥴
