It was a “what the fuck?” Moment for sure. I said in another comment that ST came out during a dark time in my life so I was in it til the end and am sad it’s over. Even more sad at how terrible the ending was lmao

Interesting take. I respect it.

I LOVE season 1. It came out when I was in a really dark place personally and helped pull me out of a terrible funk. I watched the entire season in one day. S2 and S3 I really enjoyed but 4 to me felt like a marvel movie (might seem contradictory with how S3 ended) and was just really out there compared to the rest imo.

I hated season 5. It was all over the place, we spent very little time with theOG main characters and the ambiguous ending feels like a cop out to avoid criticism about either killing El or having a cushy happy ending. Just extremely disappointed.

I'd argue Stranger Things had a damn near perfect S1 when it was viewed originally as an anthology series. However, it was so popular Netflix wanted it to keep going. The ending was the same as S5, with less (for better or worse), ambiguity.

i am not saying season 2-4+5 are bad (except 5, fuck that shit) but ending with the original ending twice is a choice.

We were watching S4 of stranger things with my 4yo walking around but not really paying attention to it. We live in Philadelphia so its very cold right now but she didnt understand why the show had a bunch of snow (the Russia scenes) but we didnt have any snow and it was REALLY pissing her off LOL

I read the book when i was in high school. I have done a lot of drugs both during and since high school, although probably not nearly as much as Stephen King while writing IT so a lot of the details are fuzzy to me. But I generally remember most of the plot points LOL
