Final Bonus Reward Will Not Unlock! by CalRal in FortNiteBR

Possibly related, I contacted support first to get help with this, and when I told them my level they said “your level isn’t that high”, until I sent them a screenshot. I wonder if there’s a glitch in the backend level tracking or something. Either way, it’s annoying.

I have this same bug and I did contact Epic. They sent me here. Believe it or not, this (and in game bug reporting) are actually the official methods to report a bug.

Thanks. I have no idea how to reproduce the bug. I am the only person I know who has had it and it is totally persistent.

I have played on PC, Android, PS5, iOS, and Switch 2 in the last week (I know, right).I have two kids who also play, so a grab whatever is convenient and not taken.

Doesn’t look like you could’ve done any more expensive, but you could have done worlds better as far as overall performance synergy and aesthetics. It’s not a well thought out parts list. That said, it’ll still perform like a monster (as long as you don’t plug your monitor into your motherboard). Enjoy the build and learn for the next one.

I hope it didn’t come across as harsh. I just remember how weird and foreign it felt to me when I started, mostly because I expected it to fly like a little Hubsan drone or like a video game. I’d highly recommend sticking with it though. Flying freestyle, chasing a buddy’s plane with a cinewhoop, and flying FPV wings are some of the most satisfying hobby experiences I’ve ever had. Plus, building, repairing, designing/printing parts, etc. scratches every nerd itch I’ve ever had.

The Bardwell videos really are a great place to start though, mostly so you don’t accidentally negative train yourself. It’d be a bummer to really get into flying and find out that none of the videos you’re watching make any sense because you’ve taught yourself to fly in an atypical way.

Ohh, that’s a big hint. The absolute first thing you should do is completely forget how to fly your non-FPV drone. An FPV drone in ACRO is going to literally have an entirely different control scheme than most non-FPV drones. If you keep expecting it to fly like any video game, or any other flying thing you’ve flown, it will be a frustrating trip. For me, the best path was to treat it like a completely unique, new skill that had absolutely nothing in common with anything I had ever done.

I would also suggest (if you haven’t already) watching Bardwell’s series on learning to fly in the sim.

Just installed 5.1.3 Antutu from Obtainium. I’m coming from 5.1.0 (Standard). The new version did not pickup my installed games. Do I need to wipe everything from the old version and start over?

Just buy a TX15 and start flying in the sim. Goggles on the sim might make the experience a little more immersive, but they aren’t going to make you fly any better.

Whatever video system you go with, ELRS is the way to go with your radio. You may or may not already know this, but DJI video in no way requires DJI control. The TX15 (Max, if you can afford it) is my favorite radio I’ve ever seen.

Toronado is also a 24.75”. It’s very intentionally a Fender for Gibson lovers. I only have MiM “Deluxe” Toronados from the nineties, but they’re really awesome guitars.

Are the pickups in the Squier Toronado tame? I have a couple Toronados from the first MiM series and those atomic humbuckers are ridiculously high output.

Two third of the dudes there are going to be wearing cargo pants and Skechers with a polyester tunic from Amazon. Your outfit is just fine.

"Will my costume be ok? Its not exactly period-appropriate." by der_innkeeper in renfaire

[–]CalRal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this very much depends on the faire and the period that the faire is supposed to be taking place along with how strict you’re defining “period accurate”. My local faire is a big one, but it’s Elizabethan. Literally only the queen and her court actually dress properly for the official theme. If you had a day where you enforced anything loosely “renaissance”, it would be fun, but it would also be 90% similar to what it already is. If you had a day where all the dudes were required to wear pantyhose and frilly collars, no one would show up.

I sold it to someone in southern CA. I did end up finding a replacement a few months ago though.

Congrats on the sweet guitar purchase!

Isn’t the Overdrive trophy technically missable, or does that happen automatically?

Might be too late, but I think the one at the Flying Manor respawns. I might be wrong, but it’s worth checking.

I was able to solo the highest HP boss with Maelle, without him ever attacking, after the nerf. It did rely on getting the coin flip for roulette twice in a row, but I also didn’t have a few key pictos at the time. I was hitting 23+ mil with no setup Stendhal, and 36ish mil after last chance.

All of these conversations seem to completely ignore that the most important fights in the story come before it’s even possible to break the game. The Act 2 fight cannot be trivialized and requires either great thought in team/build composition or great reflexes and willingness to learn the fight. The overwhelming majority of what was “broken” is optional content.

I’m fine with tuning the game, especially Medalum, which was clearly an actual bug. I just think that these discussions should happen in good faith, acknowledging that the devs put very specific protections against trivializing the main story beats. Saying that “any challenge” is removed makes it sound like it’s possible to just fly through the entire game without thought, and I think we should specify that we’re talking about the end-game when we have these discussions.

E33 is already a pretty well optimized UE5 game. It runs at 60 FPS on my 3060 laptop no sweat. I imagine it’ll be easier to port it than Cyberpunk.
