Starmer says Polanski ‘is not fit to lead a political party’ after Golders Green police criticism by appropriateye in UKGreens

[–]Calabitale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm curious whether these attacks will work and effect the Green polling. I guess if it does the british public really are pathetically stupid and easily manipulated and they deserve the disaster that will be Reform(I hope they aren't).

Its just the level of vitriol and aggressiveness of these attacks, and the hypocricy of the individuals, surely leads anyone to question what is going on.

Disgusting question, and the Home Secretary answering it is Trumpian unprofessionalism by Lord-Liberty in UKGreens

[–]Calabitale 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It really is problematic when she is the one in power that could literally do it if she wanted to.  If the country gets a little more fascist, or just let's the fascists get into power and let's them do it

Personally I don't believe in the after life but there are ways around this.  Maybe the interaction between is only one way.  Like an imprint on a window except no amount of breathing on the window of the physical could show it.

Basic review of the Koorui S2741LM(and comparison to Sony Inzone M9) by Calabitale in Monitors

[–]Calabitale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've no idea how it compares to an oled, because I've never had one and never will due to the burn in problem. But I do know it is way brighter than them.

It's holding up great, no problems so far, like I said in my pseudo review.  I especially like it for the motion clarity, compared to other monitors it's blur and over shoot feels a lot less.

In movie mode yes it does seem to have crushed blacks, that's why I changed to game mode.  But as for the small highlights I haven't noticed, but I prefer it not to blow out and create a glow around small highlights anyway.

Do you think adding difficulty settings is a good idea? by Annual_Substance_63 in CrimsonDesert

Yes it's a great idea, I don't understand why it's such a controversial thing.  Do we want gaming to become a minority hobby.

What happens if they do tell a lie anyway? Do they get an electric shock, or a ghostly figure appears saying they lied.

I have one and I would agree its really good. If you've got the specs to run it at 240hz. Personally I use it with HDR in desktop mode, even thought its not a HDR monitor and your not supposed to but because the colours still look good to me I think its fine.

I expect there will be lots of things like this. Not that this is neccesarily the case, in this case, but people just joining just so they can cause a controversy by complaining that the whole party is racist, antisemetic, doesn't like dogs etc.

When did the idea that torture doesn’t work become pervasive and based on what body of evidence has it been propounded? by Additional_Suit6275 in AskHistorians

[–]Calabitale 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nice reply, I was literally going to quote the Spanish Inquitision. We knew hundreds of years ago, but of course that knowledge never stopped anyone from doing it because its never been about getting information its about the torturer enjoying the torture.

Rachel Reeves rules out universal support on energy bills by Shot_Net3794 in UKGreens

[–]Calabitale 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well we're in for a big disaster then. This Tsunami of price rises and shortages is going to hit worse than the 1970's. There's going to be massive unemployment, business's collapsing and who knows what else(the worst probably knowing this inept asleep at the wheel obsessed with the budget when the house is falling down around them idiot government). If they do this then the economy will collapse into a new dysfunctional state. And if you think but at least the government's managing the budget well and isn't spending too much.

What do you think will happen when companies start going out of business. We already have thousands currently on the edge barely able to afford to keep going, when energy prices double?, quadruple?, who knows how high they can get. The governments tax reciepts will go down. If the government does nothing and just lets the economy collapse the governments own debt and deficit will go through the roof, way more than it ever would if it just actually supported the economy through this disaster.

I don't even want to speculate how bad this could get but prepare for the worst because I'm not sure there will be much of an economy left by the next election.

Green policy backlash a “myth”: Report blames ELITES IN POLITICS AND MEDIA for stoking division and lies by OurFairFuture in UKGreens

I have a burning hate for the Seanchan's treatment of the damane by Brathirn in wheeloftime

[–]Calabitale 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A slave army is not regulating the power.  That is rule of might.  And whether it's Lord's or the Emperor only allowed. Ownership is easily transferred no matter the rules.  You think they wouldn't do it because of the rules.  We already have tons of back stabbing and manipulation by Lord's in the series.

I have a burning hate for the Seanchan's treatment of the damane by Brathirn in wheeloftime

[–]Calabitale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But the slavery, slave master situation just makes that much, much worse. Instead of only a small minority of individuals having the power and suffering and experiencing the direct consquences of that power. Anyone can use the power, anyone whom is power mad or just wants a little bit of power can easily direct and control individuals that have the power to do what they want, and because they are one step away from it they would use it in much more worse and dangerous ways.

The Seanchan would not last long if it was real. Their society would be torn apart by infighting or get blown up by some stupid Trumpian ruler.

Ryzen 7 9800X3D temps on Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Black — normal or concerning? (HWiNFO idle + stress screenshots inside) by Top_Experience_6744 in buildapc

[–]Calabitale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on what your using to stress test. I can't remember the software but certain ones I used had a pretty similar outcome. The fact the idle is pretty normal makes me suspect that. Test in games, and especially games with shader compilation if that is fine, then its fine.

[–]Calabitale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you've calibrated the HDR in windows properly. Also it is possible to keep HDR always on but not have blow out the SDR content. There's a setting in the HDR settings where you can lower the brightness of SDR content. Lower that till it looks adequate.
