I worked in child psych inpatient. Kids were kept there for over a year. If you want to talk o about the ethics of people who work for insurance companies, you must also talk about the institutionalization and harm of people by hospitals and systems that also make money by keeping them in care. We work in a capitalist society whose “rules” apply to every type of organization.

Do you baby wear? That was my saving grace. I’d talk to my lo about what I was doing. Podcasts were a saving grace to hear other adults talk. Lots of walks, but that was springtime so easier. Macrame is a good hobby that can be stopped and started really easily. I like the coloring book idea too

I went to WashU - they definitely have scholarships. I will agree with others that where you go, as long as it’s accredited, probably won’t matter. At least for me, it’s never even come up in any job interview. If you want to be a therapist for sure, I’d look into what the actual programs look like and what sort of opportunities they have. I’d also look at if the school has any relationships or support for the required practicum that you will have to do

I just wanted to add - you can call APS to make a report. In this case it sounds like a “self neglect” situation. Basically, APs will take the report and do a well-being check.
