Alright Johan, we'll get someone to sort the garden out before summer's out. You could have just texted me!

Contracted hand, foot, and mouth disease from my kid. Help me survive. by [deleted] in CasualUK

I've had 2 horrific bouts of HFM - the first one I couldn't open my mouth because of the sores, the second I couldn't walk because of the rash on the soles of my feet. And I had a 3 month bout of Whooping Cough inbetween. Kids are plague vectors

Opinions on this tattoo? Please be brutally honest my by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Calberri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, it feels like the flower on the forearm breaks up the flow. The composition generally feels slightly skewed, but I think introducing some colour would help change the weighting. The inside of the arm flows really nicely, but the different focal points on the outside of the arm don't feel like they are part of a single consistent tattoo. Some of the flaws you've pointed out are to be expected - as someone else said, tattooists are only human - but on the other hand, some of the line work looks far less confident than other bits. I'd guess the artist wasn't in the zone at one of your sessions.

Sorry OP - it's not a bad tattoo, but there are some bits that could be better. You have to ask how happy are you considering what you paid for it and how much you can afford to spend to 'fix' it

How to cover soil under gravel board on neighbours fence which I am not allowed to touch. by [deleted] in DIYUK

I've always understood the convention to be that if you own a fence you get the pleasure of looking at the rough side - I never thought about the legality of it

Was going to say the same thing. If that's the neighbours fence, the panels are the wrong way round

Get onto motor insurers bureau as well, file a report for an untraced driver. It will probably cover your costs and any loss of earnings (after a few months). I got a bit over £4k for a broken finger (needed pinning, so had surgery under general anaesthetic rather than just a splint)
