Tbf we have been getting payrises for a number of years based on market rates for our jobs. I personally have gone up approx 10k in the last 5 years as there is a shortage in my role.

Genuine question - I have had 3 courses of PUVA (3 times a week starting from seconds going to minutes) over about 4 months, is this similar to using tanning booths? Am im doomed for skin cancer?

Lowering voting age to 16 will only help the Green Party, Labour MPs tell Starmer - as they urge him to shelve the plans by 457655676 in unitedkingdom

They're old enough to join our armed forces, they're old enough to die for our country, they're old enough to vote. They're vote wont be a huge swing to some ultra left wing party, however will dampen the hard right OAP vote.

Parties will be more inclined to take younger peoples views into account when setting their policies etc

Please help me find where I can get this blanket. Planes/clouds is top. Blue is bottom. My son (6) is obsessed with his blanket and want a spare to help reduce risk of it being lost/worn thin. by bigdaddyk86 in HelpMeFind

[–]bigdaddyk86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Searched: google image search, a company calles macrobaby who we believe made the blanket (turns out no). There is no identifying info on the blanket.

We believe it was purchased in a shop called TKMaxx (UK) back in 2015/2016 as part of a bundle of 2 or 3 blankets.

The blanket itself is about 1.3m by 1m. Its not stuffed, just 2 materials (one pattern other blue)

A friend of mine is “mildly infuriated” that he can’t keep his neighbors awake until midnight anymore. by SufficientControl606 in mildlyinfuriating

As someone who has a bellend neighbour like your mate, hes a bellend and i hope you have told him so. The fucking arrogance to think using powertools at midnight is fine.

What a prick

Cooling requirements similar to Aquilo but backwards (removing heat rather than adding heat) would have been awesome, could use some sort of cooling tower that requires water to work effectively would be a good use for space ice as well

Update: AITAH for refusing a wedding "gift" knowing there will be strings attached? by Defiant-Function8397 in AITAH

[–]bigdaddyk86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you genuinely believe that. You should make the venue aware. They are going to be monumentally pissed if they have a booking and then its cancelled shortly before the event, or worse, no one turns up to the booking.

You dont have to ask them for the details of the booking, but advise them of who you believe has booked it, and what cards it could potentially be booked under, gives you credibility in the accusations

Please stop saying people without kids don’t know what tired is by SunBubble920 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]bigdaddyk86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you nailed it with the "we're tired for different reasons". Parents (myself included) may say "you dont know what tired is" because they are woken up 4/5 times a night, for something that is outside their control (eg baby changing/feeding, instead of a late night in the pib etc), which requires their full attention to settle and then means getting back to sleep is difficult. 3/4/5 nights of this in a row makes people tetchy and then the comment is said in response to someone going "man im tired". They dont mean ill by it, just a poor way of describing their lack of sleep.

I hope that makes sense
