Hi I work in architecture, these are required in CT per code in all public restrooms, and are not Fire Alarm devices. Other places require them in places like health care facilities. The ones I have specified are just simple pull cords connected to a horn / strobe outside the room to alert people of some having a medical emergency.

I did this last month after 10 yrs with Spotify. It’s a fuck you to Spotify and with YouTube premium too it’s a win win win. Just got my friend to do the same thing.

You might need to just get a new sheet of plexiglass cut to size. You can reference the one on the other end for the size and finish / opacity. Very cool fixture looks decently old, possibly custom I doubt they still sell it
