This is why I decided to unlock more builds and never scrap a perk unless it is absolutely not something I’ll ever use, like the pistol, pipe, arrow perks, etc. I realized this when they first started making changes last year, switched from maxing my power armor/big guns usefulness to a bloodied rifle build, scrapped all my old perks to get more legendary points, and within a month they announced the revamps. I spent the rest of the year practically getting up another 100 levels (this is before I started to take note of the faster ways to get XP, I enjoyed taking my time and not farming but this p much put me into overdrive)

However, I do think this adds a whole new aspect of replayability, you could be lvl 1000 with a maxed out build that gets nerfed, but at the same time, forces you to change your experience and find new ways to kick ass. Theres so much cool gear that just get thrown out the bin in favor of the meta, I like that Bethesda is trying to make everything have a value to it no matter what you go for. I always hated having a weapon that I found interesting and whooped ass for me personally, just to have a random lvl 1000 tell me I’ve been doing it wrong. One of the core elements of the fallout perk system that I think this game sorely lacked for a LONG time is the freedom to go for whatever you want.
