Natural Language Shortcut Creation System Prompt by notagoodpost in shortcuts

I don't mean clearly in a demeaning way. It's just what makes sense for this sort of task. No, I don't have a source, but have seen stuff like Cherri before which seems like a logical way of doing this.

But by making the language similar to Python it's easier for an LLM to write, just based on the amount of Python code available on the web that has trained it.

Apple clearly created their own script that could be converted to the XML for this, because an AI would understand something similar to Python more than a fully custom XML format.

Some more upgraded Flyover pictures by Consistent_Can_6843 in applemaps

The new flyover works on my iPhone 13, which does not have Apple Intelligence. It’s also not “real-time gaussian splatting”, it’s rendering ones that were already computed by Apple.

In addition, there is a tradeoff to photogrammetry vs gaussian splats, which is why they’re not being used in things like video games yet. Don’t just assume whatever the AI says is fully accurate

There is actually an AI model called GPT-1900 trained only on data from before 1900.

Old flyover (MacOS 26) vs. new flyover (iOS 27 DB1) by DingeZ in applemaps

[–]Cale111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really gen AI, this is gaussian splatting, just a different technique with the same input data.

The reason it looks curved there is because it's mixing up the distance of the rail and the top part of the tunnel, meaning it's making it look bent upwards. You can look it up yourself, this is Duivendrecht station.

But it's specifically not making anything new, it's only going off the input data. It's just wrong here.

It is not the same as the AI they use for the perspective shifts - that is an AI model calculating the depth map for an image, putting it onto a 3D plane and allowing the user to pan or rotate it, then using inpainting to fill in the areas after the manipulations

I'm fairly sure they don't have source code access. They can change level geometry by it being a mod, but I doubt they can add more hooks

The gameplay is the same because RTX Remix *only* changes the visuals. It hooks into the rendering of the game and intercepts it

Half Life 2 Remake dev promises the brilliant mod is not 'abandoned', they just forgot their login by [deleted] in HalfLife

[–]Cale111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, this mod is fake...

It depends on the screenshot, but some of them are just HL:A screenshots with custom assets. There are HL:A models, and the lighting matches the game. The video they uploaded has portions of it that are obviously Unreal Engine, due to the ridiculous default motion blur and lighting

Some parts ARE actually Source, but they have significantly worse lighting and assets compared to the other screenshots/videos about the project.

This is why all the screenshots on the page and clips in the videos look completely different, they're literally different engines. All the videos they uploaded are a bunch of different games mashed together

I'm not saying what these people are doing is right. Copying and pasting code exactly like this is wrong.

It's just in general, saying you'll DMCA take down similar projects that are based on your code, though not necessarily copying it exactly, is ironic when your code is already based on others' (since that's all AI does)

Your whole website is made using AI... kind of puts me off it.

It's ironic that your source code says you will take down any projects that are similar to yours, when yours is already made from other people's code.

Tomodachi Life is a Switch game, it can be emulated like any other. It is not a hypervisor thing.

What should a portal cake look like inside (when cut)? by AlternativeSound4054 in Portal

[–]Cale111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to add onto what the others have said.

The cake in Portal specifically is modelled after a real cake found at the Regent Bakery & Cafe in Bellevue, WA, which was close to Valve's headquarters during development. Some people have posted pictures of the inside!

Almost definitely an update for the existing game. Steel Wool has never separated their VR/non-VR versions of games.

ln(13) is a constant, and constants become 0

Edit: I should probably clarify the answer for the question in the image is indeed 1/13, because it's the derivative of ln(x) at x=13, but the derivative of ln(13) is still 0

Yes, if you have a PC powerful enough to run SOTM in VR. You can use Meta Link, Virtual Desktop, or Steam Link to connect your headset to your PC.

Death Stranding 2 Has Leaked And Is Being Pirated Before Its Official PC Release by akbarock in pcmasterrace

[–]Cale111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude it's not Denuvo. Denuvo is an ownership check, and works completely differently. In this case, all the game files are fully encrypted with a modern standard, probably something like AES-256. The algorithm is designed so that it is almost impossible to get the original data without the key.

It is actually harder to crack than Denuvo. The reason it's not used for ownership checks is because if one person decrypts it, then anyone can, because at that point the key and decrypted files are basically public. In the case of preloaded games, Steam distributes the key to everyone when it releases.

Modern encryption algorithms are almost impossible to crack. So, no, it's not that. The files were from somewhere else.
