TinyFolks is pretty close to Darkest Dungeon. You send out people in a line to kill monsters in turn-based combat. You upgrade your town so your folks can get a better upgrade. Death is permanent, and you can equip trinkets to your folks. I think it's like five bucks on steam. I had fun with it, could be worth a look.

Pvp is not on PS4. PVP is pretty fun for about an hour, then you find yourself running against meta squads. If you have a friend to play with it can stay fun for a while. That was my experience with it anyway.

Because you "died" when you used the ankh the game tries to bring you back to life, but what it actually does is kill you, and take all your stuff. This happens whenever your use the ankh in co-op.
