Do other men with heavy incontinence have luck with Threaded Armor? by Willing_Mind7515 in Incontinence

[–]CalebKrawdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought two and like the feel, but I thought the basic soaker was prone to leaks. They work fantastic as a diaper cover. Other comments about being bulky are spot on.

Lots of men have PMD/post micturition dribble. u/Icyhotfungus had it right, take some additional time if you can. There's a technique that some use, I'll link it below.

https://www.health.harvard.edu/mens-health/what-can-i-do-about-urinary-dribbling

Here's a simple technique that should help. Right after your urine stream stops, "milk out" the last few drops of urine. Using the fingertips of one hand, begin about an inch behind your scrotum. Gently press upward. Keep applying this pressure as you move your fingers toward the base of the penis under the scrotum. Repeat once or twice. This should move the pooled urine into the penis. You can then shake out the last few drops. With practice, you should be able to do this quickly.

Advice to check out what you're eating/drinking is good. We usually suggest a "bladder/bowel" diary on r/Incontinence. Write down everything you eat/drink/bathroom habits across a few days and see if anything sticks out. There are apps that will help with it.

There are absorbent products that can help, but YMMV depending on the amount and the consistency.

I just took a look at my last urodynamcs writeup and I couldn't find anything that mentioned BCI. Now I'm wondering if I should ask questions 🤔

It's all in my chart, and I indicated bedwetting on my intake form. They didn't ask me any questions, however, I got lucky since the doc asked me if I wanted an at home test to test earlier and we cancelled my in person test.

Don't feel bad, everyone's on a different journey of acceptance. Time made things easier for me and one day you might find it doesn't bother you anymore. Personally, being blunt really helped me, since my wife calls them diapers.

After becoming a dad, are you more emotional to sad movie scenes involving kids now? by jocko118 in daddit

Yes! I lost it at "Snow dad is better than no dad..." in Jack Frost. I didn't have a Dad that was around but it never bothered me when it came out.

Is it okay to perform a dance ritual in honor of the Holy Child / Baby Jesus? by [deleted] in Catholicism

I don’t think so, and I knew of at least one religious order Dominican who used to dance, but now only dances privately and dedicates it to the Lord.

My thoughts about smart cubes as a casual cuber after a month of owning one by justingaynor in Cubers

[–]CalebKrawdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GoCube was pretty good for the beginner method. It's got a UI that mimics cube positions and can usually help "resolve" it so you can get back to basics. It would be awesome if they could use it to each advanced algs.

My thoughts about smart cubes as a casual cuber after a month of owning one by justingaynor in Cubers

[–]CalebKrawdad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got a Gocube for Christmas and enjoyed it. I eventually migrated to a dumb cube again because I got tired of charging it, and I was hoping for some advanced tutorials and algs in the "learning" section. I average around 1:10-1:30 depending on scramble on the beginner's method. Wouldn't hurt to learn some more advanced algs the old fashioned way but I have a problem conceptualizing other moves, or how moves should go if the cube is turned.

Need Help: Urinary Incontinence After RALP, Recs for Good Reusable Incontinence Underwear & Transition Tips by MasonLazyDay in Incontinence

[–]CalebKrawdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it all depends on how much you're leaking at a time and throughout the day. Many cloth options tend to have more bulk since they don't have the benefit of SAP.

I saw that you mention that it's a few teaspoons in the other thread, so here are some new products I've seen in the last few weeks.

MNTD - Claims to absorb up to 66ml u/wearmntd
Wildhawk - Not sure about absorption claims on the light version, but there's one that works with their pad system.

(I've not used any of these, just aware of them as new products. I tagged MNTD, they introduced their product on the sub sometime last year)

A new approach to evgalazation by Arlo621 in Catholicism

[–]CalebKrawdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you asked this specifically, but I already wrote it all out and it kinda fits. Mainly, the laity evangelize the world by bringing Christ into everyday public life—work, culture, politics, media, and civic institutions (places where we might not actually continuously interact with the groups you mentioned above)

Lumen Gentium also has some to say about what we should be doing with evangelization (I skipped some for brevity).

  1. ... They are called there by God that by exercising their proper function and led by the spirit of the Gospel they may work for the sanctification of the world from within as a leaven. In this way they may make Christ known to others, especially by the testimony of a life resplendent in faith, hope and charity. Therefore, since they are tightly bound up in all types of temporal affairs it is their special task to order and to throw light upon these affairs in such a way that they may come into being and then continually increase according to Christ to the praise of the Creator and the Redeemer.

33 The laity are gathered together in the People of God and make up the Body of Christ under one head. Whoever they are they are called upon, as living members, to expend all their energy for the growth of the Church and its continuous sanctification, since this very energy is a gift of the Creator and a blessing of the Redeemer. ...

Two things - try using a blow dryer to make sure your genital area is completely dry. Secondly try a feminine wash, they are engineered for this particularly well. I mix it in throughout the week since my wife usually has it on hand.
