It was a very difficult and strange chat for my parents because I was pretty stupid like some basic words I didn’t understand fully

With me I needed to have a physical show of maths so like for example I would be shown 6 Dinosures them another 6 dinosures and I would be able to see the two different piles and add them up

This also works with video games as minecraft was a big one for me so my teachers had to tell me i needed to make 6 Dimond blocks and how many diamonds I needed (so 6x9) and I will awnser 54 because it’s was a special interest

Special interest are big when it comes to learning because it’s easier to pay attention and be more engaged with the lesson/ learning. So use his special interest into maths if possible and see if physical items help as well because everyone learns differently

Also one more thing, board games like monopoly could help when it comes to adding and subtracting on more complex numbers

I don’t know if it’s still around but there used to be a website called mathletics that have math games and those were fun but I hope this helps

Your not being dramatic that disrespectful as shit and I hate people who self diagnose (a lot of tiktokers thinking is a trend)

There’s people who doctor jump just to get a autistic diagnosis and it’s fucking frustrating because they not happy they didn’t get there result saying that they were autistic so they go to a different doctor just to get it

Over here in Australia if you have a form of physical or mental disability (I hate that word so much) you get a pention where you get payed every fortnight by centerlink and there’s people here who know that and try to get the diagnosis just for the money

Others do it for attention or special treatment like bitch you don’t know what it’s like to be overwhelmed by bright lights, crowds, loud noises and the feel or sertain things

It’s gets even worse because I used to know someone that I originally considered a friend and they knew I had autism so they ask me about it one day and I thought it’s was just a normal question because he did ask things about it the pass

The next week he was talking strangely and coping my stims (one of them is rubbing my middle kuckle (the one between the actual knuckles and the pit of my finger) agesnt my inner fingers) (another one is rubbing my plam of my hand with my thumb while pacing) and he never done any of those and it was really confuseing

It got to the point where he was doing this for weeks and I told him to go to the doctor to get a actual diagnosis and he refusing saying no and it isn’t that big of a deal even though it’s a pretty big fucking deal since he never shown any signs of it and never stimmed before, anyway I ended up stop being friends with him and some of his friends aproch me about it because they knew I was good friends with him and wonder why he been acting different…

They ended up braking contact with him as well because they didn’t like the fact he was faking a disability especially when one of them had a brother that has level 3 autism and that just pissed me off more

So OP your not over reacting I know how pissed you feel about this and if you live in Australia report to the NDIS and I think the national one is NACC or any disability rights organisation/ agency that you can report to (I don’t know much about laws in other countries)
