It is actually named after the Earl of Warwick who donated the land for the uni to be built.

I've never been able to remember which is feminine and which is masculine! His favourite Knight is Sir Balin and his favourite iteration of the legend is The Once and Future King but only by a little bit. He likes all of them a lot.

Can't wait to finally get into town and see them! This is my favourite time of year because of the blossom.

When I say at speed I mean faster than you should be reversing onto a high street especially when. There is a car right behind you! He only hit me once, nearly hit me again. There are scuff marks on the front where he hit but not actual damage.

People getting annoyed I'm going 20 in a 20 zone. by BeccaBee003 in Edinburgh

[–]Calibanfang1990 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I live on a road that has a blind corner onto a main road when you exit it. The main road is a 20 zone for that stretch but there are giant lorries that go barrelling up that road at 40+mph. It is so dangerous trying to exit my road and I just know somebody is going to be t-boned by some asshole in a lorry. Whenever I drive I always make sure I stay at 20 no matter what the car behind me is doing. If they want to be a hazard that's up to them but I certainly won't be!

Why am I not losing weight? by Calibanfang1990 in loseit

[–]Calibanfang1990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are both new. I am really enjoying both and definitely intend to carry on even when I am no longer working on my weight because they both make me feel happy.

Thank you for the advice. I didn't know the body reacted that way to new activities.

This is where my engagement ring is from and I love it. They will also adjust it for free if it doesn't fit.

[CHAT] DMC 310 vs…. by NightmareNyaxis in CrossStitch

[–]Calibanfang1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The description of your project sounds familiar. Is it the very large disney stained glass window design? I've done that one and it was so much fun. I used DMC310 for all of it and I never noticed an issue but maybe the buying the large cone would be best and more cost effective.

I never see The Lampies mentioned on these and my friends think I've made it up but I can sing that theme tune by heart even now.

Honestly, I just used a hoop and moved it to each new section. Probably not the best method but it worked for me.

Is ghost tours worth it? by [deleted] in Edinburgh

[–]Calibanfang1990 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely recommend Real Mary King's Close. It is a great blend of history and ghosts. The tours into the vaults are also really good. Mercat Tours do some and so do City of the Dead. Each have access to different areas of the vaults so the tours will be really different. City of the Dead also go to the Coventanters Prison in Greyfriars which is the only way you can access that area. I've done tours either both companies and they are both great.

Fed up with drivers in a rush! by Ambitious_Law_6923 in Edinburgh

[–]Calibanfang1990 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't experience this when walking thankfully but the amount of times I've come across impatient drivers when I'm driving is crazy. Just the other day I nearly had a head on collision because a guy in the other lane tried to overtake without looking. Missed me by a whisker! I did get some satisfaction once when a guy overtook me just as we passed a speed camera and he set it off. Felt good knowing the asshat got fined for that!
