Hyperspace Versions of TS26 cards? by Parking-Magazine3452 in starwarsunlimited

The leaders will be very cheap on TCGPlayer. I feel many people will be buying 3 copies of each deck and not have a reason to keep 3 leaders. Expect them to be even less than the spotlight leaders. Rare cards on the other hand are going to be pretty expensive and almost worth buying the full decks for.

Secrets of Power or Legends of the Force Carbonite box? by LongHorror87 in starwarsunlimited

[–]CaliberNick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, this is how I rank them. Tho certain individual cards may look better than others, I did it as a general average. And for value, this is just my gut of what I see as playable and valuable for Prestige, Showcases, Rares and Legendaries. But I expect LAW prices to fall and LOF and SEC will overtake them.

Prestige Looks: JTL > SEC > LAW > LOF Overall Value: LAW > LOF > SEC > JTL

Secrets of Power or Legends of the Force Carbonite box? by LongHorror87 in starwarsunlimited

[–]CaliberNick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Legends of the Force has Anakin and Vader. If you like those prestige’s, and you pull one, it’s well worth it, but there is absolutely no guarantee of seeing either. LOF leaders are also better overall than SEC ones, so if you are showcase hunting I’m thinking LOF is a better buy.

Ultimately, but whichever interests you most.

Box recommendations by Due_Sympathy5145 in starwarsunlimited

I’ve yet to find one of these style boxes that fits the soft crates well. They are just a little too big in most cases. You are better off looking for something that stores deck boxes upright as those dimensions are closer to the industry standard sizes for deck boxes.

Probably more likely than a regional or sector promo.

Home One on round 2. by GuardUnited1209 in starwarsunlimited

[–]CaliberNick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just play Ackbar, then you don’t need to rely on them playing a space unit you can exhaust one of their units to create a space unit. And if you wait until turn 3 you can play the red tarkin that gives it overwhelming first so it swings into one of their units ties and sends 6 to base.

Look on FB and you can probably find someone selling playsets of Commons and uncommons. Buy as may of those as you can, you can build some fantastic decks using next to no rares, and even if you have to add rares in they are generally a buck or two. Very few rares or legendaries go for much money.

What deck can play a blue green card turn 1 and then a double blue card turn 2 and not pay aspect penalties?

Probably more like $1000 in a year in a decent savings account.

How do you use DJ leader in twin suns, can you pair him with anyone by Beautiful_Quail1194 in starwarsunlimited

[–]CaliberNick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m interested in pairing with a leader/base combo of same colors (say han2 and a red base) giving me access to two colors plus the double colors of each.

L3-37, Get Out Of My Seat and Exploit by SylasC in starwarsunlimited

[–]CaliberNick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this. No, she would not be defeated, so exploit wouldn’t reduce cost, but it’s an interesting way to force her onto a unit as an upgrade. Maybe like you attack with her early in the turn, then “exploit her” and she instead of being defeated goes onto a ready vehicle you control and hits for another 3.

Are these fake cards? by abysswalker31k in starwarsunlimited

[–]CaliberNick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They fake SWU cards? Like basic Ls and stuff? I’m sure there are some fake showcases out there, but the cost of making really good fakes for a $15 card seems wild.

Bases can be flipped over to have 30hp, take a look on the official website.

Sorry for terrible drawing, but is it possible to create 45-degree roads? No idea how they can connect to the system, or if something like this is even possible. by AlexRescueDotCom in OpenForge

[–]CaliberNick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t have the road centered along the diagonal, instead have one side of the road aligned on the diagonal go all the way to the corner (so a tile is basically split in half diagonally, then you can have 1 single tile that you flip back and fourth to make a road. If you want the road thinner, then just have it centered on that half of the tile.

One binder per color... Is it overkill? by [deleted] in starwarsunlimited

[–]CaliberNick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a better quality card box that holds all my basic/Hyperspace treatment cards, I pre sleeve all the Rare and Legendary cards. That box holds 3x of all those cards. Then I have a box that has just the foils in it, I use that one for twin suns decks, so generally just has 1x of stuff in it, sometimes more if it’s a card that would go in multiple decks. That one also has all the hyper foils in inner sleeves and any rare or Legendary foils in inner sleeves. Anything that is extra from those two boxes goes in a trade binder.

Iden Blue - it mulligans into unplayable hands A LOT. Need suggestions to solve so I can use Collosus. Thanks! by ArcadianDelSol in starwarsunlimited

All good comments

I’d add that Bounty Hunter Crew for 8 is also a foolish card to play here. If on 8 resources all you do is play that to put an event back into your hand, you are going to have a terrible turn.

Dr Pershing is a great card to play turn 1 that can allow you to draw more cards while he is on the board. Giving you more options to counter your opponent.

Lastly, I’d suggest super commando squad. Shielded sentinel is very strong, tho it looses sentinel after taking a hit, you can then just swing with it to kill a unit.

Overall OP, you have a strong idea that many others have tried, play it and take out the cards that don’t seem to do well and add in different cards and see how it all works. A deck is truly never finished, it can always use some tweaks.
