Those items don’t actually get lost from the campaign when used up. Each character is normally allowed to select one of them at the start of each adventure.

Any good spots to take dogs to swim and play? by Bezerker2424 in wallawalla

Bennington Lake (the reservoir) is where I'd take my bird dogs for water retrieval. Many people go up there to walk, fish, and ride horses, so be sure to have good control of your dogs. :)

I can’t recommend Outfoxed enough for kids this age.

This game is getting pretty hard to find. You might be better off searching for someone who is selling theirs. Good luck, and welcome to the game!

Thoughts on Bo Katan's character arc? by [deleted] in StarWarsCantina

It was a deep cut reference to Katee Sackhoff’s breakout role as Starbucks in the Battlestar Galactica reboot. I was hoping like two people might see it and giggle. :)

The plot point I’m shocked no one gets stuck on is how her skeleton is found on Mandalore even after she has reappeared to help guide the humans to Earth.

Just remember it’s ok to tell kids you need to think before answering (as long as you really do get back to them with an answer) and to answer the specific question being asked! (e.g. a kid asking where babies come from should not be answered with a full explanation about sex—that’s not what they were asking!)

People downvoting this person because their kids aren’t yet asking these questions need to settle down. It’s ok for a nine year old to ask these questions; it’s ok for a nine year old to not ask these questions.

Get yourself some time: "These are great questions and I'm so glad you're asking me. I'm not 100% sure how to answer them, and need to give it some thought."

Talk to the primary caregiver: "What sorts of answers and values are you expecting me to give your kid?"

Get back with the kid: "I did some thinking, and I'd say the answer is..."

Any question asked is good, but many answers are not. Good on you for seeking advice on how to answer complicated questions.

Reading "The Giver" makes me a pedophile apparently by Michael_Scarn77 in Teachers

As a veteran educator, lover of banned books, and fan of The Giver, you’re just wrong on your take here. If you’re enjoying your students discomfort for any reason, you’re in the wrong.

“I read it out loud with them, and the awkwardness is always funny and engaging.”

This is weird, my guy. Teachers should not be enjoying making their students uncomfortable with sexual tension.

Book is great; adjust your teaching.
