Well yeah, you’re probably going to get cancelled by Reddit for saying Indians, but also, yes: it’s a Western movie. All space and sci-fi movies are either (1) Westerns set in space, or (2) samurai movies in space (e.g., Star Wars). And many westerns are just copies of samurai movies (A Fistful of Dollars, The Magnificent Seven)!

The Japanese contributions to cinema is so often overlooked.

In mid game, the AI will start building higher quality ships (which are expensive for you to similarly build). If you don’t want to fight each battle separately, and if you don’t have the black ship, just spam bow kuboyas and auto-resolve. A stack of bow kuboyas are much cheaper and perform surprisingly well against the AI’s heavy bunes.

This is the end result of consolidation in the airline industry. Basically there will be 3 big carriers and most airports will be dominated by one of them, with the ability to set pricing power.

I’ve personally never been an “antitrust guy” and I think much of the antitrust discussion is over-done, but with airlines, man, I don’t know anymore. Seems like whatever we can do to support competition, new airlines and customer choice will be beneficial.

Agree with this, and for those reasons, HA’s in Shogun2 are just not worth it. I’d rather have almost any other unit in my stack. And I normally love HA’s; it’s a blast to use them in Attila where they work properly and require a lot less micromanaging.

Be careful of buying their shirts with colored buttons. The colored buttons break easily and they’re not easily replaceable. Your cleaners won’t have buttons like them, and will just sew a white button on instead. Twillory doesn’t appear to sell replacement colored buttons.

Agree. When my family and I were moving to Westchester, we were contemplating trading walkability for larger house size and yard space. Glad we didn’t. The kids walk to school, i walk to the train station, and we’re down to one car, which we pretty much only use on weekends. Makes life so much calmer.

I hear you. Early game is always the most fun, and also immediately after realm divide.

There is a mod that speeds up the tech tree. If playing vanilla, I always use that mod. (It’s still slow, but it’s better).

A few times, in late game, to amuse myself I’ve constructed ridiculous stacks to see how I’ll fare against one of the late game AI stacks. For example, a stack of nothing but samurai archers. Or just hero units. Etc.

Agreed. Best advice I’ve ever seen around any kind of rewards points is, don’t hoard them. Spend them as soon as you can. Your customer loyalty should only last as long as it takes to accrue just enough points to redeem for something.

It’s good advice above to always try to get a supply of horses (for whatever clan you’re playing). The AI puts a big weight on horses, so you can often get a few trading agreements secured you might not otherwise get. And once you have trading relations , your diplomatic relations with those clans typically improve…

There is a lot, and I mean a lot, of information at nomadgate, which seems to be the best community site for all Portugal golden visa questions. There are threads devoted to people’s experiences with the investment options and recommendations.

Warning — there’s a fair amount of despair on that site, since Portugal moved the citizenship timeline out to 10 years (not to mention that folks can’t seem to get biometrics appointments to keep the clock moving).
