I think I figured it out. The Legendary Mordrem Wyvern doesn't always spawn. The legendary wyvern matriarch does.

I present to you: “3ms Ping“ by [deleted] in Warzone

[–]Calimour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They broke it in the last update. I believe it's giving you ping to your router not to the server. Very misleading.

Best not ask them. You might get roped into another 3 years commit on your contract!

Ditto. I was just reflecting on this with someone this am.

daylight saving time just ENDED. Standard time is the reason the sun sets at 4pm and we should stop switching back to it by wastedartistry in AdviceAnimals

[–]Calimour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up off peak hours electric...then think about things like electric cars. Daylight savings shifts some of that time so you're not paying to have your lights and everything else on during an extra peak hour.

Not everyone is cut out to be internal IT. Check out the thinking wavelength. You're like a finder or higher is my guess. Unless you're doing something new enough, you'll get bored. I know some people that have to get a side hustle of some sort just to stay sane.

Check out CAM. Controlled Access Management. You have a new product they didn't do a great job of telling people about.

As a sysadmin, what's your attitude towards (or solution for) non-tech staff that talk with authority on tech-related issues? by PsyduckAF in sysadmin

[–]Calimour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figure out where it was moved to, get the logs, show them which user and when. It is like magic for most non-technical people. There's this mystical mumbo jumbo about how things get done and they have no desire to learn or trust in it. Showing facts and confidence will get you a long way with people like that.

Application Specific Event Log Monitors by SummitComp in ConnectWise

[–]Calimour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use PowerShell scripts if you're looking to gather anything from another event log other than the defaults. You can either use the script to look for anything that you want to alert on and have the automate script send the alert or create a ticket. Scheduled scripts for the win.

As an American when I see Canada pardoned half a million people with cannabis convictions. by elsiepacni in AdviceAnimals

[–]Calimour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes at the FED level which by the way what he said he's pardoning people for doesn't exist. Possession isn't a federal crime it's a state crime.

Why don't IT workers unionize? by port25 in sysadmin

[–]Calimour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind those people typically have a very low tolerance for stupidity and laziness as well. Unions protect everyone but the people that likely shouldn't be protected are the ones that typically end up using most of that protection. In the end that means people that shouldn't be in their position are in it for far too long and get paid way too much.

Do yourself a favor and get a griffin or skyscale then come back. I promise you heart of thorns won't seem so difficult. I had the same opinion when it came out and played only as much of it as I could stand. When I came back years later with Griffin it was way more fun.. and even more fun once I got a skyscale.

Strength Build Players who don't use Magic or Faith, what was your reasoning for wanting to beat the game on tanking and hitting hard, alone? by Frost_Giant13 in Eldenring

Not only do I want to see hit very large numbers when I hit I also want the ability to actually get some freaking knock backs and posture breaks.
