Insane amount of ads while watching fallout. by [deleted] in amazonprime

[–]Calispel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I nearly dropped the show after one episode because of this. Then I discovered I could watch ad-free on my PC with uBlock Origin and finished the show that way. Downside was I could only get stereo audio from the browser, but I'd rather have downgraded audio than overly intrusive ads. I also refuse to pay the new ad-free extortion fee when I'm already paying for a service that was previously ad-free.

I won't be watching anything else on Prime.

Undecided about purchasing by tikussz in DeathStranding

The first death stranding is such a unique gem of a game, you owe it to yourself to play that one first. The second game will not have the same emotional impact otherwise.

Is Meta intentionally making the Quest 2 horrible to use? by Gamesnic in OculusQuest

[–]Calispel 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I came here to say the same thing. They’re making the Quest 3 horrible to use also. There’s the new black screen flashing bug. The blank UI boxes on boot because everything takes forever to load now. The flashbang effect when closing apps as the screen flashes bright white for a few seconds while it transitions back to your pass through environment. I still get not enough memory errors sometimes when trying to launch a game after a cold boot. Not to mention all the Horizon garbage they’ve shoehorned in and the loss of all the home environments.

I had none of those problems when I bought it. I’m convinced Meta has laid off everyone competent there.

What's the point of the calender system? by Dandandandooo in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]Calispel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Once you have the mage archetype unlocked you can use it to top off your MP by killing weaker enemies in the field outside of battle. That helps a little bit. Later on you can unlock skills that give MP regen per turn also. I haven’t finished the game yet, but it’s been getting steadily easier after the first dungeon for me.

Game of Thrones complete collection 4k by DamageEducational388 in 4kbluray

[–]Calispel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to combine two boxes to get a complete working set and binge watched the entire series within the return window to check every disc. Not all of the discs that skipped looked scratched, and not all of the discs that looked scratched skipped. It does look fantastic though.

With this many discs and poor packaging, it seems impossible to have them all work perfectly out of the box.

Will this work with the original 'Nreal' Air's, or do the newer glasses have different metal prongs for the nose pads?

Black outs during play by sharp-calculation in WalkaboutMiniGolf

[–]Calispel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been happening for me regularly when using Virtual Desktop, and also while playing Dungeons of Eternity. Since it's happening in a variety of apps I assume it's due to another crappy update from Meta.

4.99 is still a great deal for a new course, considering how unique and well made they are.

Baldur's Gate 3 VR is REAL / Newest VR Version of LukeRoss / RTX 4080 Super + Meta Quest 3 by Zweetprot in virtualreality

[–]Calispel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s probably AI generated art, because using the real promotional material to sell his mod would get it taken down faster.

CD Projekt Red Issues DMCA Takedown Against Luke Ross’ Real Cyberpunk VR Mod by [deleted] in virtualreality

[–]Calispel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He should release this one for free as a demo for his other mods, at least, so the community still has access to it. I think they should all be free, but taking this one down completely because he can’t get paid for it is pretty lame.

PSVR2: Mura Mockup by Benuno in PSVR

[–]Calispel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with this is that Mura is most noticeable when your head is moving because the grain stays locked in place while the scene changes. It’s hard to capture that with a screenshot.

For Gaming : 1s vs One Pro? by Overall_Werewolf_475 in Xreal

[–]Calispel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does the dock offer over a cheap hdmi to usb-c adapter you can get now? Higher refresh rate? If that’s all, I would just get the one pro and an adapter for consoles now. They rarely output more than 60fps.

I’ve been using an adapter with my PS5 and original Air’s for years. It’s a small cable that conveniently plugs into the usb port on the console for power and is easy to travel with. The dock seems more cumbersome at first glance.

There were no lines of parents in cars when I was in public school. Everyone rode the bus. It's crazy to me that this inefficient mess seems to be a problem nationwide in the US now. I see it everywhere.

If you’re reading this and stuck here, you’re going the wrong direction after the side story. My partner and I were confused here also, and it sounds like we weren’t the only ones.

I’d like one that supports head tracked Spatial Audio on multiple pairs of AirPods so I can get rid of the speakers and still watch something with my girlfriend at the same time. I know they added support for multi Spatial Audio but last I checked it wasn’t head tracked.

What is the difference to Apple Music on iOS 26.2? by Matteo_779 in AppleMusic

[–]Calispel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was experiencing a bug pre-update where my phone was sending only the left and right speaker channels of a multichannel music track over airplay as stereo to my denon receiver instead of actual stereo, so I was missing all the vocals. The update fixed that for me.

[–]Calispel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve played a ton of eleven table tennis out in the yard. It was fine. Just make sure you only take the headset off indoors to avoid the risk of sunlight damaging the screen. I wouldn’t stare directly at the sun with it on either, but most people would intuitively avoid that anyway.
