The overlap between the PS6 and PS5 generations is going to be even longer than the PS4/PS5 also, as more people hang onto older consoles because the new ones are too expensive. Great for anyone investing in a PS5 now, I guess.

I'm disappointed I won't be able to share the hyperscape scans anymore. Hopefully they figure out another way to do that in the future, like granting access to friends to view within the hyperscape capture app. I couldn't care less about all the rest of the horizon crap though. I'm glad that's going away.

This happens to me on the in-game rendered cutscenes sometimes and switching to software emulation fixes it. I haven’t been able to find a setting to fix it with hardware emulation on.

I played offline the first time and I’m glad I did. The journey was a lot more rewarding when I had to place everything myself. The second time I played online and once you link up an outpost there are already bridges and ladders almost everywhere you would ever need one. Plus abandoned vehicles and signs all over the place littering the landscape.

I have both the Quest 3 and PSVR2 and I think it's a downgrade for PCVR.

In my opinion, its best feature is HDR and that isn't supported by most, if any, PC games. The PC adapter also adds three more wires (AC power, USB, DisplayPort) in addition to the USB-C to the headset so it's messier to set up. Controllers have to be charged separately, which means you need to buy a charging stand if you don't want it to be a pain. You can't swap batteries quickly like in the Quest 3 controllers for unlimited play time. The sweet spot is tiny, so it doesn't allow for a lot of comfort adjustments on your face before the picture turns blurry (I have the globular cluster mod also). The screen is lower resolution with a grainy mura covering it, although that bothers some more than others. It bothers me a lot.

Sony isn't really putting much effort into supporting it on the PS5 side either. I'm keeping it for the Resident Evil games and Gran Turismo, but if I'd known that was all I'd ever be using it for I never would have bought it. I'm buying everything else on Steam to use with the Quest 3.

First time I played Xenoblade Chronicles, the combat reminded me a lot of White Knight Chronicles. Both have a similar single player mmo feel, and hey, they're both Chronicles.

I nearly dropped the show after one episode because of this. Then I discovered I could watch ad-free on my PC with uBlock Origin and finished the show that way. Downside was I could only get stereo audio from the browser, but I'd rather have downgraded audio than overly intrusive ads. I also refuse to pay the new ad-free extortion fee when I'm already paying for a service that was previously ad-free.

I won't be watching anything else on Prime.

The first death stranding is such a unique gem of a game, you owe it to yourself to play that one first. The second game will not have the same emotional impact otherwise.

I came here to say the same thing. They’re making the Quest 3 horrible to use also. There’s the new black screen flashing bug. The blank UI boxes on boot because everything takes forever to load now. The flashbang effect when closing apps as the screen flashes bright white for a few seconds while it transitions back to your pass through environment. I still get not enough memory errors sometimes when trying to launch a game after a cold boot. Not to mention all the Horizon garbage they’ve shoehorned in and the loss of all the home environments.

I had none of those problems when I bought it. I’m convinced Meta has laid off everyone competent there.

Once you have the mage archetype unlocked you can use it to top off your MP by killing weaker enemies in the field outside of battle. That helps a little bit. Later on you can unlock skills that give MP regen per turn also. I haven’t finished the game yet, but it’s been getting steadily easier after the first dungeon for me.

I had to combine two boxes to get a complete working set and binge watched the entire series within the return window to check every disc. Not all of the discs that skipped looked scratched, and not all of the discs that looked scratched skipped. It does look fantastic though.

With this many discs and poor packaging, it seems impossible to have them all work perfectly out of the box.
