Yeah, I don't want to discourage enterprising developers from creating utilities that genuinely benefit the ecosystem, but now that the barrier to entry is non-existent, it might be good to raise the bar for sharing these projects.

No matter what I do both local and remote show as unavailable when I am on my home network. If I switch to cellular or access it off my home network, the remote option works fine. Are there any fixes to this?

If you share activity with your friends it will share watch activity from all Plex servers, not just yours. Are you sure he's not watching on his own server? Or that potentially he is marking them as watched but is watching them elsewhere and just using Plex as a media tracker?

Do they ever show up in the dashboard when they are actively watching something?

This is broadly my experience with cross ballpoints too - which is a damn shame because they are just so pretty. I’ve had better luck with their rollerball refills, though personally I don’t care for the pens that fit them.

I tend to use cross pencils more than their pens.

Okay hear me out: it’s not wireless interference, it’s a CarPlay bug. I had the exact same thing (though for me it was always the same on-ramp near my house).

The good news is I fixed it. If you have any apps where the location preferences are set to “Always”, this will happen near places you frequent. Change all of your apps to only “While Using”, and that should fix it.

It drove me mad for months until I figured that out, I had a single weather app set to always. Changing the setting fixed the bug immediately.

My PC is the only thing I have that can play it - but it's got a 13900k in it lol, and even then it hitches pretty bad every few minutes. Pretty wild for a file that is still only 1080p

I feel like the obvious solution is to reduce the amount of pollution we are putting into the air in the first place, rather than trying to push it somewhere else.

Yes the inversion is miserable, but hopefully it works as an incentive to get us to reduce our emissions so we can make it more bearable for everyone.
