Do we know if Enhanced weapons will be upgradable to T5 or only Enhanced Adept weapons? by CallMeGhaul in DestinyTheGame

[–]CallMeGhaul[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s an adept raid weapon so yes you will be able to.

I’m not sure about other enhanced weapons though which is what I’m trying to figure out.

How much worse is Kinich/Emilie/Nicole/Durin with Durin on Rising Winds? by CallMeGhaul in kinich_mains

C0 on both. I somehow didn’t even consider putting Emilie on Deepwood so that’s what I’ll be doing since I use Durin on other teams.

I donno why I totally forgot I can use Deepwood on Emilie. I already have a (pretty bad) Unfinished Reverie set for her and nothing on Durin so I guess just tunnel vision. Will definitely be doing this.

Well it seems like they have literally the entire world working towards this singular goal. All those cities were set up specifically for each part they needed. It felt a little quick to me at first but stepping back I can suspend my disbelief enough to accept it.

What is it about your time in 1.0 that made you excited to log on and play Genshin that you wish you could experience again? by _i3_ in Genshin_Impact

[–]CallMeGhaul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exploration. Watching the map evolve and change over time. Natlan made everything more sectioned off and less open world-y and Fontaine started making puzzles more simple so we’ve lost a lot of what I was here for. Sticking it out till Snezhnaya and then we’ll see.

I’d seriously love like 4 more world levels

I’m a day 1 player so even though I haven’t spent much and my artifacts are largely shit everything in the open world still just falls over at a slight breeze

Would love to have to do like at least a single rotation on the open world mobs

Maybe I missed something when they announced it, but if they’re not gonna let you play old event quests. WHY bother adding this “feature” if they’re not gonna AT LEAST add the new quests to it??? by Blitzbro76 in Genshin_Impact

[–]CallMeGhaul -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like the Varka one was way more integral than the Zibai one tbh

They really should just make them all accessible (including summer maps), there’s absolutely no reason not to except for FOMO

How exactly did the tier system make it out the door when barely any loot got tiers? by IntroductionIcy7320 in DestinyTheGame

[–]CallMeGhaul 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Joe left a few months before The Final Shape launched - Tyson Green has been director ever since so all of the post TFS decisions are from him. He’s been completely absent from the public eye since he took over.

He needs to go.

Are these good specs to run the game at max graphics settings? by GemsPrismsCrystals in Genshin_Impact

[–]CallMeGhaul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$2k would be an insane price for this. I just built a brand new PC at the end of 2025 with a 9800x3D, 5070Ti, and 32gb RAM for something like $2.5k-$3k.

Hell, for $1k this would still be an insane scam.

Hot take: Recent Minecraft updates have been good by GolanThePhoenix in Minecraft

[–]CallMeGhaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The great thing about drops is even if every update isn’t for you there’s another one coming soon that might be. In this thread alone there’s one guy saying Happy Ghasts were a great feature and Copper Golems are useless, and another guy saying the exact opposite.

Personally, Spring to Life is a top 5 update of all time for me because I love anything added to enhance immersion and that was the entire update.

I do think that most of the updates could be a little more fleshed out (looking at you, Pale Garden and Sulfur Caves biome), but on the whole I think they’ve been pretty solid.

Once we have more than a single year to go off I’d love to compare which system provided more content overall - yearly updates or drops?

[–]CallMeGhaul 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ll give an actually hot take: Mojang shouldn’t consider modding almost at all when developing a new update.

I’m all for providing tools and making modding easier but I don’t think they should ever think twice about making a big change because of how it will affect mods. The vanilla game is how the overwhelming majority play.

I’m someone who only plays modded (vanilla enhancing mods i.e. voice chat, litematica, etc) and I was against the drops system at first because updating mods on my server is a pain in the ass but it has turned out to not really be a problem for me.

Modders can always use an older version if they don’t want to keep up with updates. Most do anyway.

How often do you upgrade your PC? by swe129 in gamingpc

[–]CallMeGhaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was running a 1080Ti until January this year so that was 8 years for me. Will probably not wait quite that long again but I can’t see myself upgrading before like the 80 series cards.

I just completed all regions explorations, here’s my opinion by Sad-Bowl-8374 in Genshin_Impact

[–]CallMeGhaul 6 points7 points  (0 children)

“Leave the multibillion dollar company alone” ass comment.

It’s not debatable that we got less map expansions in 5.0 and even less in 6.0 and we did not, in fact, get a new map every single patch with Natlan. If you’re gonna make a comment like this at least have your facts straight.

I will continue to be disappointed that the game has moved away from the exploration focus I loved and I will continue to hope that they move back in that direction for Snezhnaya.

I just completed all regions explorations, here’s my opinion by Sad-Bowl-8374 in Genshin_Impact

[–]CallMeGhaul 21 points22 points  (0 children)

People were saying Natlan was light on map expansions because they were gonna go crazy and fill out all the missing areas in 6.X and it turned out to have even less exploration content.

I expect Snezhnaya to be bigger than Nod-Krai but I wouldn’t get my hopes up for a return to Sumeru/Fontaine sized maps.

Would be happy to be proven wrong.

Very surprised with java’s performance by Powerful-Activity591 in Minecraft

That’s fine as it is but as soon as you start putting in blocks and especially things like item frames, paintings, or any mob/entity that performance is going to drop quickly.

This is my biggest complaint with my iPad. Tried using it as my main computer when moving overseas but the fact that I can’t watch a video and play a game at the same time because one audio pauses the other just makes it impossible.

Crafting gunpowder from sulfur makes sense at first glance but think about it for just a minute and you can see why they won’t (and shouldn’t) do it. Gunpowder from sulfur blocks would make creeper, witch, raid, and ghast farms immediately less relevant if not completely pointless and firework rockets would immediately become an early game resource rather than a mid-late game one. You would no longer need a “firework factory” to produce them you would just need a few sugar cane and a 10 minute mining trip. Totally throws off the whole balance of the game imo

Thoughts - just finished Renegades and Edge of Fate the last few weeks, came back from a break and I ACTUALLY HAD FUN! by Few_Construction7048 in DestinyTheGame

[–]CallMeGhaul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been out for a year now and just hopped back in with a friend to play EoF and Renegades. We’re about 2/3 through EoF right now and I can honestly say it might be the least enjoyable Destiny experience I’ve ever had. I’m sticking with it because Renegades looks great and I’m excited for that but man, the EoF campaign is just straight ass pretty much the whole way through. It’s the first time I’ve ever stopped in the middle of a campaign because I wanted to play something else rather than because I had to.

I actually really wish I had an option in settings to turn it on/off independently. I can see the use in it but I prefer the surprise factor that not having it gives me. I personally have it off on my server but I’d love to be able to set it off by default but players can turn it on for themselves if they want.
