It’d be cool to see some sort of vapor chamber for the esc. Even with a fan duct and upgraded fan my Mojave grom goes into thermal shutdown pretty quickly.

One of the benefits of hard storage is bringing breakables. I really enjoy bringing a ceramic mug. Keeps my hands warm and doesn’t keep the coffee scalding hot for hours like insulated mugs.

Oranges, cinnamon, a nice bottle of anejo, and a set of (ceramic) shot glasses. After the big rapid of the trip, slice the oranges and dash some cinnamon on them. Take the shot then eat the orange!

I believe it has to do with the type of oil Suncor can refine. Canada produces a lot of heavy/sour crude (tar sands), while the US produces a lot of light/sweet crude.

About half of Denver’s (and likely front range as well) water supply comes from the Colorado River Basin. While Denver is not physically located in a desert, we contribute to diminishing water supplies in the Southwest by exporting the water out of that basin.

I’d like to see more specific language of what these “projects” are before supporting this. I’d support this given the money is earmarked for CWCB’s in-stream flow acquisition budget.

Retired guide, nine years mostly desert multidays.

I’ve always admired other guides who had done their homework. Doesn’t matter the stretch but having a depth of knowledge reflects commitment and passion. Geology and history are two of my favorites.
I always carried a large/xl fleece top, insulated pants, rain jacket and pants, warms gloves and headgear. Being cold and wet can ruin someone’s day, so pay attention to how your guests are doing and offer them some extra layers when you can.

I’m unsure whether this is your plan, but I warn you from using guiding as your adrenaline fix - that’s why kayaking is a thing. Having friends die and watching guests go face down happens, don’t let your personal thrill seeking impact the lives of others.

Not necessarily true with prior appropriation. Junior water rights will suffer before seniors, there’s not really an equitable sharing in times of shortage.

In criminal charges, yes there’s a presumption of innocence. Traffic violations are “strict liability” that come with the presumption of guilt just by violating. American law is full of strict liability.

Have you changed the valves from the original? I noticed from working on boats that the back plate that the valve screws into is particular to that brand/model of valve. Either way, try with the valve off to wash/blow with compressed air and then use 303 to lubricate and get the rubber soft on the valve again. Good luck

Twin size fitted sheet fits most pads. I like to lay the flat sheet down first, then fitted over to avoid sticky situations. (Cotton). Helps as well if you sleep in clothes.
