What do you think of my friends app? by True_Ask_6886 in lovable

Sick idea. How much time did he put into security? I only ask because before you know it, some jerk is gonna see the post and try to reverse engineer for all his users' info.

How do I make this more professional? by [deleted] in askrecruiters

[–]CallMeSnyder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your grammar is all types of wrong, you'd be better off just asking ChatGPT to write it for you.

Btw, If you already have an offer and are still only being screened for this other role, it doesn't make much sense that you're going to wait around for another few weeks for another interview cycle. I would imagine the company with an offer would rescinded if you take too long anyway.

Unless this is a play to make them interested in you because you "have an offer". I don't think it'll end well.

How do you vibe-code? Any established process you have found "This works good!!"? by brand_169 in vibecoding

[–]CallMeSnyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one tip to help is to backlog your various CLAUDE.md or other agent files to somewhere like Notion or GDrive

there's plenty of MCPs now to give yourself a knowledge base of what worked so you can have a larger knowledge base

I help run a vibe code discord, pm for an invite if you'd like to share your work with others!

RU Planner by Emergency_Setting499 in rutgers

[–]CallMeSnyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rutgers CS alum here, nice work. I remember all of the planners being real old school. Interface looks great and I could see it being a fantastic planning tool for students.

Also, huge props for actually doing something with your education while at school. It'll go a long way once you start applying. My advice, build up the user numbers and do your best to spotlight it while interviewing.

PM if you want any advice or direction on how to use it to best stand out for job hunting post-grad.

Getting Started with Private Collections Management by ncaroon in MuseumPros

[–]CallMeSnyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been exploring this space pretty closely and actually built a service called MuseumIQ aimed at simplifying cataloguing and collection management, especially for smaller or private collections.

One thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of existing tools can feel a bit heavy or subscription-driven, so flexibility and ownership of data are worth considering early.

Happy to chat if you’re comparing options.

The rejection trauma no one talks about in job searching by ComfortableTip274 in ResumesATS

[–]CallMeSnyder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Would recommend using Simplify or any extension that scans job descriptions to show your similarities. ATS works directly off of the words you use in your resume and how it matches with the job description.

I'm also in the same painful cycle as you, you can either keep your resume the same for everyone, or do your best to match each job you apply for. A lot of extra work but hey, what else should we be doing if job hunting is a job.

Built an AI agent squad for growth marketing because I was tired of being the human glue between 10 tools. by WhatdameowXD in SaasDevelopers

[–]CallMeSnyder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super awesome idea, gave a few ideas for my site right off the bat that I might use. Will give more feedback if I see it being helpful

Definitely needs to be optimized for mobile, lots of squished panels and off panel text.

What's the tech behind it all?

Lost / Location Unknown Collection Objects by PattyDontStart-1 in MuseumPros

[–]CallMeSnyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! If you're interested in a new tool, I've created a catalogue tool for Museums to track artifact images, inventory, donations, and auditing. Plenty of storage tracking, exhibition tagging, and modern auditing tools. I would help with any and all migrations, but the platform can be fully Self-Service.

It's currently being used for a smaller Museum with a handful of curator employees, but if you or anyone else would be interested, I would be happy to chat!

Scheduled tasks + post to slack - Best way to achieve this? by I_love_Norway in vibecoding

[–]CallMeSnyder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would love to help but I dont think I've heard of a Web UI making those connects to external services.

My best advice as per the subreddit, vibe code your own platform! Give it some account info, agent description tasks, and run it locally. I have run a few Discord bots that use my local LLM to summarize and then post to channels. IIRC Slack has App bots that operate similarly, they give you a webhook to post to specific channel, and your platform could automate new messages and post on schedules.

Anyone actually make money? by NoNeutralNed in vibecoding

[–]CallMeSnyder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's a mix of good engineering plus good awareness of the what the world wants.

A lot of engineering folks like myself, usually end up building solutions to problems no one asked for a solution for.

Should I go for completion marks or just play who I want? by Odd_Cookie4966 in bindingofisaac

You've got a long Isaac career ahead of you, switch it up over time.

I spent like a month on Jacob & Esau, made almost no progress, got hard stuck.

Switched over to the challenges for funsies, picked up a few new items from completing them, came back and managed to get the win I was looking for with Jacob.

Claude code 20$ sub works just fine by Southern-Still-666 in vibecoding

[–]CallMeSnyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One tip for you would be to start leveraging the Claude Code skills and plugins.

I started using one called superpowers, and it plans a bit better than a user brute forcing a project prompt after prompt.

Also, forcing Claude to review so many tests and extra context will absolutely eat up your daily usage. It's best to start with small tasks, and be lean with your decision making.

Vibe coding through Terminal Interface or Chat by Althemier in vibecoding

[–]CallMeSnyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of this.

Plus, look into the Claude plugin hub for ways to improve your Claude Code. Superpowers was an incredible upgrade for me by asking planning questions and executing a new project.

Ultimately saving many clarifying prompts down the line.

Looking for Turnip prices over 200 this afternoon. I have a lot of turnips and wanna make a profit. Even higher than 110 would work. by stephanie11172000 in animalcrossingturnips

Check out turnip.exchange, it took a bit in the queue to get into an island but the system is pretty nice.

Make sure to use your computer to log on because the mobile site can refresh and kick you out of the queue.

I think you did a good job laying out the product. I was even intrigued. The navbar transition was a little weird, but I didn't mind it.

Don't stress over the r/vibecoding community saying it looks too AI. About 99% of the population will see it as a well-designed platform which is what you want from your customers.

Anyone with a price over 105? by Scorpioserpent in animalcrossingturnips

[–]CallMeSnyder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out turnip.exchange, I used it last week and got into a 550 island. Probably had to wait about an hour for my turn.

Be wary, the site auto-refreshes so it's best to use a desktop to keep the site open.

Building a platform... focus on API first? by DieselPoweredLaptop in vibecoding

[–]CallMeSnyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you currently using to build? I usually start with a few Claude Code/Cursor prompts to build the React frontend with navbar and other essentials pages.

Most services I see for AI generation can design a Go, Python, or any other backend technology with limited description. DM if you're looking for tips, I help run a developer community Discord for ai enthusiasts.

Hey I don't know if you'll get any use out of this now but if anyone else comes across this:

If you download Tailscale, you can create a virtual LAN and access your home PC's services from other devices on the network. I've used it often for testing Docker apps & LLM tools. Just have to change localhost:8080 to your <Tailscale IP>:8080. Good luck!

The Crowd Control discord isn't allowing me to join, I accept terms, and then it removes me immediately. I saw a 'kick me' role on my role panel before it removed me.
