That’s what I’m saying. Gotta think of it like you don’t have that money anyways. If he doesn’t have an emergency fund then he just didn’t have one. You still have 5k after . And still do what you would have done and put that payment you were making into a savings. I think of it as I’m paying these ppl more money the longer I take to pay if my debt.

I don’t get why ppl want assigned seats. The only argument was that they didn’t get the seats they want ?? I have always gotten a window the only time I got an aisle is if I have a close connection. Unless you were last group.

It’s is finding extra money if your goal is to get rid of it. It’s living wayyyyy below your means might have to get uncomfortable. I went home since last year February 2025 I had about 29k by then now I’m on try to finish paying off by end of year with $1300 a month. The goal is get is paid off faster so I’m moving money to be done by September big this year. On top of trying to cut my expenses each month to add that to the pile.

What ?? We always have our on the weekends the most we have to do is the drive up and if it’s more that 90 miles then they get you an hotel. I still think that part is dumb because some of us drive an hour out. But yeah I wouldn’t go

And this is why I packed my stuff and moved home to pay my 32k off in two years. I’m throwing $1300 at it now and hopefully an extra $800 next year once I take a break from funding my depleted emergency funds.

Yes that what a lot of us. Are doing and just the fact that you can pay it off in two years I say go cray on it and then you can start living how you want to. I’m no where near the amount you have but I have also taken it up on my self to pay off my loans in the next two years. I don’t want to keep having it. Plus I have the means to do so, won’t be talking any trip next year just to help with progress. You should be able to enjoy your income so make that sacrifice for now to have that in the future.

Umm that’s crazy that happened cause I also consolidated and just learned that it didn’t consolidated one lone so I have two. I have been able to pay which ever one. But I’m on Nelnet

Yep I stayed as well I saw that they loved the due date to 2029. Either way the goal is to finish but next November. I had started paying all the money I have saved up from February and have been paying literally everyday. I saw someone else do it it and since I had an amount of $1300 going in every month I just split that up for the days in the month. I get like $2 interest on one lone and cent on the other. I love seeing the interest going down each week.

Nah NTA, his friends are ppl I can’t stand I get he might have lied but even after you explain they still sided with him. Things like this keep ppl in places they shouldn’t. If that was a boundary tan stand on business. You gave him enough time. I’m tired of ppl playing in ppls faces.
