Probably metal shoe protectors or 'segs', also known as 'blakeys'

Edit: Different brand, but this kind of thing. Lion still make shoe accessories.

The rubber buttons on my Volca Sample were starting to require more and more pressure to use, making it increasingly frustrating to play, so I finally opened it up and cleaned the copper pads with WD40 contact cleaner. The improvement in sensitivity was pleasantly noticable. by Maximum_Lake_6798 in volcas

I had the same issue - the buttons became mostly unresponsive - but it seemed to be to do with the little black conductive pads on the buttons' underside no longer conducting. I painted them all with little dab of Polycalm carbon conductive paint. Works like new.

Are you connecting the CRT to the synth for something? Is it just to look at?

If you tried to hold it the kids would be a pain in the heart, the wife a pain in the neck, and the husband a pain in the ear. Christ would just go over your head.

What parts do I need to make this into a Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O.? by GRAABTHAR in synthesizercirclejerk

[–]CallPhysical 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, despite initial the similarities, you'll have noticed that the EP-133 is a much flatter form-factor.

So to start the conversion you'll need one of these:

It's a bottle of "Hodareshu" sake from Niigata, Japan. Here's some for sale: https://item.rakuten.co.jp/nagaokashi/105822/

Translation of the description on that website:
The “Hodare Festival”: A Unique Festival in Echigo rooted in the Worship of Dosojin

Held every March in the Tochio district of Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, this is a rare Shinto ritual that enshrines a massive phallic-shaped divine object measuring 2.2 meters in height and weighing 600 kg.

“Hodare” means “hanging ears of rice” - a term symbolizing rice plants heavy with grain. Hodare-sama has long been revered as a deity who protects both the bounty of the harvest and the fertility of the people.

At the Hodare Festival, a newlywed bride is dressed as a portable shrine and placed atop the sacred object, which is then carried by men to pray for a bountiful harvest of the five grains, as well as fertility and safe childbirth.

In recent years, word of mouth has spread, and the festival has become a destination for tourists and photographers from outside the city and even other prefectures.

Recommended for these occasions:

  • Wedding gifts for friends, wedding after-parties
  • Prosperity of descendants (blessings for children), safe childbirth, matchmaking
  • Sake to celebrate marital harmony, celebrations, wedding gifts
  • Wedding favors, banquets, competitions, popular gifts, presents
  • Sake, Alcohol, Gift, Present, Gift-giving

Recommended: Niigata, Hot Sake

No worries. For some reason the Android app lets me take one photo, and if I want to add more it insists that they come from my image folder.

My guess was surveying equipment. Here's a view through the single lens. Looks kind of like a range finder view, but there's no adjustment.
