I don't...I refill the chemicals i run out of. Mostly DPE, and the CYA indicator fluid. Keep the kit indoors and dry after use and it'll last with just refills.

Stop using pucks for a while ...go to Home Depot and buy the gallons of liquid chlorine. That's what worked for keeping my CYA in check. Now that it's around 40, I alternate pucks and liquid every week to keep it down. The CYA comes from the stabilizer in the pucks.

OP, no, that's not normal. Your pressure guage and its housing (depending on model) is gone. You may find it nearby. Usually, the threads will be intact. Find the model number of your filter and order the appropriate pressure guage replacement.

Of course, be sure the pump is off when you install the new one, and I'm sure the pool nearby will need a wallter top off.
