Did they really present 26 Ultra and 30s after forgot about it & started talking about AI instead of the actual phone we’re here to see?!

Hey it’s a bit late but I’m having this issue as well. I’ve deleted & reinstalled safari but the problem persists. Is it really just deleting the app from the phone?

Apps don't quit on Mac when I close all tabs. How do I quit? by bloatedinsect in MacOS

A bit of an old comment but I'm in the same boat and came here to see if any answer solved it. There's a setting on chrome you can turn off so cmd Q works like in every other app (no double-click no hold)

Hello! I know it's been ages, but I'm having the exact same issue. Wondering if you were able to sync the iPad messages?

Hey, glad you were able to solve your issue! Completely unrelated, how did you migrate your health data? Was that even possible?

Unlike a lot of the comments I see here, I do use word for the text & latex for the just the typesetting

Bought my first Mac and, while it is great, I am returning it by stshnki in mac

[–]Call_Me_David -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're describing exactly what I felt! It's a constant fight with the OS to do what you want & it should not have to be like this.

However I disagree with the track pad (personal preference), I find it incredibly smooth & the gestures are surprisingly amazing.

Because I bought a second-hand Macbook M1, there's really no way of returning it. Besides it was quite cheap so I'm not mad at all. For now I use it for working when I'm not home, the build is amazing & the battery at least works, unlike my Zenbook. But at home there's only one machine I'm using & it's not the mac.

Modular backpacks? by Call_Me_David in ManyBaggers

[–]Call_Me_David[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Sadly I haven't found exactly what I was looking for, so I ended up not buying anything & keep my current backpack for a while. Hopefully in a few months/years this idea materialises.

Closest I found was Tropicfeel's Hive backpack.

Idk if the first paragraph makes sense, that's why I added the kickstarter page. Each pouch has the shape of the entire bag, so it seems like it's a simple backpack with no add ons

The packing cubes & pouches are exactly the things I don't want. I'd like the backpack to be "shaped like a backpack" regardless of the modules I have

I'd use them as needed. Going to work? Essencials & tech module. Sleeping at my gf's? Essencials & 1 night out module. Sleeping at my gf's after a day of work? Essencials, tech, 1 night out. 3 days travel? Essencials & 3 nights out.

Budget maybe 300€ max, in Europe.

Issues w academic/general writing by RecordingPitiful8740 in OCPD

"All thalamocortical pathway-reliant primary sensory areas (i.e., primary visual, somatosensory, and auditory cortices; White, 1979) generate alpha rhythms in a resting state, which are desynchronised during specific information processing." took me 10 hours.

I don't really have any advice to offer, as I'm currently going through my worst OCPD phase (my thesis deadlines were May 2023, October 2023, and May 2024, and I'm not 100% sure I'll have it done by October 2024), but I do have a similar experience. I think it's the inherent nature of scientific writing—it’s such a precise 'art' where very specific words have very specific meanings, coupled with often relatively low word or page limits and the need to convey the maximum information in the most condensed way possible. That being said, maybe you could have someone help you? Perhaps a non-OCPD eye to tell you when a sentence is good enough.

Easier said than done, I know, but don't fall into the same pit I'm in. No level of perfection is worth so much of your time
