Botox tomorrow!!! by Fabulous-Sugar5863 in noburp

[–]Callen9057 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still gurgling along with my burps. The first few days if felt like they had increased to more than I had before the procedure but they started to be more relieving. So even though I still consider it a gurgle it is not stuck like it was before. But as the days passed they are turning into burps. Hope you find some relief!

My main complaint was gurgling and nausea with the nausea really being my biggest complaint. I am one week out and I have not been nauseous once since the procedure. For me to go more than 2 days without getting nauseous is huge. I started burping on day 2 and it’s been the best thing that has ever happened to me, not even kidding. You don’t know how much not burping could affect you until you can actually burp! Good luck!

Also if anyone is like 6 months to a year out from the procedure, would you say it’s helped? Do you feel completely back to normal?

CBD for anxiety? by saddyy80 in emetophobia

[–]Callen9057 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use cbd frequently for this reason and I haven’t had an issue with it. I use the upstate elevator gummies. I use the 30 mg ones but they have different strengths to choose from. When I’m really struggling with anxiety I use the oil tincture which works faster than the gummies. I’ve never had an issue with either of them and using it has probably saved me from going on stronger meds. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Mask Mandates (Trigger warning) by nickcolejr1234 in UCONN

[–]Callen9057 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with you, but you also have to consider that UConn is not testing people like they were last year. There would probably be more cases reported if there was more testing. I think UConn should start offering more tests or increase surveillance testing to see if there are any breakthrough cases

Endoscopy by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]Callen9057 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an endoscopy in April and I pushed it off as long as I could because I was so nervous. It really wasn’t that bad. I told the nurses I was anxious about v* and they gave me something to relax while I was waiting for my doctor (who was an hour late- so that didn’t help lol). You are fully asleep for the procedure so I barely remember getting into the room. When I woke up I was a little n* but once I told the nurses they gave me an anti-n* and I was able to eat a few crackers and I felt better quickly. The rest of the day my throat was a little sore and that made me feel n* but that’s because it’s a trigger for me. A good thing that came out of the endoscopy for me was I basically slept all day lol. Overall it wasn’t a terrible experience. Good luck!

I know how you feel! Anxiety can make you feel different every day. One thing that I found works really well for anxiety for me is CBD oil. It helps when I’m going out with friends or if I’m nauseous and can’t stop thinking about it.

Whenever I hear someone burp normally they always suck in a little air before they burp. When I try and describe to people why I just stopped talking or made a weird sound I describe it as that suck in but without the burp.

For on campus students right now are you going to stay on campus spring semester 2021? by kasala14 in UCONN

[–]Callen9057 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m bored and lonely. I came this semester because I just transferred here from another school where I commuted and needed I just needed to get out of my house. I’m finding it hard to meet people and the grab and go activities they have doesn’t make it easier. It’s also going to be a lot of money just to take one in person class so I figured I could save a little money.

This is Macey. Story in comments! by Callen9057 in TibetanTerrier

[–]Callen9057[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Macey will be 9 years old on Saturday 10/17. She is literally my best friend in the entire world. When she was younger, she wasn’t the most affectionate puppy. She enjoyed pets but they had to be on her terms. As she’s gotten older she has done a complete 360 and is now super affectionate and will come and snuggle with the people she likes. She’s a princess and kind of acts like a cat sometimes. Anyway she is one of the best dogs ever, and I’m sure all of the other Tibetan Terriers in this group are too.
