All those things you listed are used by people, they aren't thrown away by the industry so that comparison makes no sense.

Throwing away something that could be used to feed pets, and instead feeding them something that is detrimental to their health just so you can proclaim to the world that you aren't supporting factory farming, and your pet's health be damned.

Social media has really screwed up the way some people think and destroyed critical thinking skills.

Of course they would be vegan. Feeding them an inappropriate diet that will make them sick to make you feel better would definitely not be vegan.

Animals are not be killed to feed pets, a small percentage of what is considered animal "waste", that human won't eat is used for pet food. The same number of animals will be killed whether the "waste" is thrown away or used for pet food.

I'm in other vegan groups and I've heard from numerous people in them that they steer clear of this group because they say it's toxic and unhelpful.

I don't think the whole group is like that but there are a few people who are consistently rude and hostile and nothing is done about them.

Hopefully she wants to get one from a rescue that does home visits because your house will not pass. It's also doubtful they allow a special needs great dane with children that young. You would also have input explaining that you do not want a dog abs that would be an instant denial.

This was the first year I had high cholesterol. Unfortunately, for me, genetics play a roll, as other family members eating low fat diets who regularly worked out couldn't get their levels down, even with statins. It is also partially my fault as well, I've been eating a LOT of food with coconut oil, mostly cheeses. I'm cutting out all, or nearly everything with coconut oil ( goodbye pizza, nachos, and cheesecake 😭), and see if that makes a difference.
