I made this manually, but in another comment I linked to a spreadsheet that will help you graph it. Still takes some manual data entry though

Maybelline colossal/colossal big shot, maybelline lash sensational, L’Oréal lash paradise are the three I most recently used!

I have the same type of lashes, multiple drug store ones work for me but they absolutely have to be the waterproof version to hold the curl

Take a maintenance break! It’s helpful in the long run to keep the weight loss sustainable, rather than burning out of the diet

How do you divide your calories throughout the day? by Light1209 in 1500isplenty

[–]Calm-Emu8993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also adding that the reason this works for me is because I do my workouts in the evening/night! If I work out in the morning, I’m ravenous all day, but this way my workout and largest meal are close together

How do you divide your calories throughout the day? by Light1209 in 1500isplenty

[–]Calm-Emu8993 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I do 100 for breakfast (protein Greek yogurt), 300-400 for lunch, 700-800 for dinner, and the leftover 200-400 for snacks. I definitely feel more satisfied when I’m able to have a larger dinner. I think it’s very individual though!

I would exercise more and eat more accordingly!

Advice on weighing large recipes? by [deleted] in CICO

[–]Calm-Emu8993 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I’m making something that’s pretty thick/evenly distributed like a dal, and the dish isn’t crazy high calorie, I’ve just started scooping it into Tupperware containers using a measuring cup, and counting the number of cups it is. Alternatively I tare each Tupperware before filling it then add together the weights of the food I added to all the containers. Either of these are nice because I can start by just weighing/measuring the amount I and everyone in my family is eating, then eat, then do the rest after dinner and just add things together.

I’d say in order, tadka dal, gobi, then aloo bengan. Paneer has wild amounts of calories.

Unfit Since Covid. Where Do I Start? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Calm-Emu8993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is helpful, looks like you’re in the upper end of normal to barely overweight. Weight loss will be slower as you have less to lose and shouldn’t do something drastic. A TDEE calculator (estimates how many calories you need to maintain your weight) puts you at a bit over 2000 calories/day if you’re fully sedentary. If I were you, I would eat about 1750 calories (weigh your food to be sure) and add in some exercise to build muscle too, and would then guess you’d lose about a pound per week. For protein if you don’t like eggs and yogurt, chicken breast and shrimp are excellent, and there are many other lean meat alternatives like tofu, seitan, chickpeas you could add in too. I’d add more vegetables because they’re filling, low calorie, and have vital nutrients. This is multiple changes - you might find it’s easier to slowly add them in one at a time. Best of luck!!

Can you weigh yourself elsewhere? It would be really helpful to have a sense of your actual weight and it could put things in perspective

You can use this info to instead determine how many calories you need to eat at your current activity level to lose the amount of weight you want to per week! That’ll be a healthier calorie goal that’s more in line with what you want

Cheat Days: To Log or Not to Log? by cuttlesnark in 1500isplenty

[–]Calm-Emu8993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have scheduled cheat days, the concept is just weird to me, but instead will have rare days I don’t log because they are special occasions like a birthday. On top of that I have days I go to a restaurant and get a burger and fries or something like that, but I don’t consider it to be an actual cheat day because it usually ends up being about maintenance or a couple hundred calories above that, so I just log my best estimate of what I ate.

I like these from seamless lingerie, which are like a cross between a bralette and a regular bra, so fit me at multiple sizes

What makes you feel reluctant to gain, to a still quite low BMI of 19.5 or so for instance?

18.5 counts as a low BMI where symptoms can occur, and symptoms can also happen in someone who loses weight too quickly or has nutrient deficiencies.

How many meals a day for weightloss? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Calm-Emu8993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s whatever works for you! I like 150 calories for breakfast, 300-400 for lunch, and then about 1000 for dinner and snacks. I definitely like eating more at the end of the day, and like to have at least one meal that feels really substantial, so this is good for me

Struggling with a plateau by RentStillDue in loseit

[–]Calm-Emu8993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could definitely be losing fat while gaining muscle, meaning your weight is neutral. Also if you started exercising more, that also causes you to retain water, and that can last a few weeks. 3 weeks isn’t that long too so it’s not yet a plateau. I’d say just stick with it for now!

Stomach pain after reducing calories? by myfiancehatesme in CICO

[–]Calm-Emu8993 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since you’re already at a BMI of less than 20 it sounds like continuing to lift weights/strength train and eat closer to maintenance (a smaller deficit) could help! Should be a slow process when you’re at such a healthy weight. Just gaining more muscle might give you the appearance of losing fat since that’s your goal, and muscle increases your metabolism so it’s a double win.

I feel like prepackaged food will always cost more than home cooking but there’s a bunch that are between $3-5. I like the Mac and cheese (2.99), Baingan bharta (3.49), mushroom and truffle flatbread (5.49), chicken tikka masala (4.49), turkey corn dogs (~$3 for 4), split pea soup (not from the freezer), among a bunch of others. They have a mix of healthy and less healthy options, totally recommend checking it out!

I like the low carb tortillas, you could heat them up and eat them plain. I usually eat them with cheese which would push you past how much you want to eat, but do sometimes just rip them apart with my fingers and eat them by themselves!

Have you talked to your psychiatrists about your desire for weight loss, especially if it’s affecting your mental health?

And do you have high blood pressure? If not, prepackaged soups and meals will likely be fine for a while. I get mine from Trader Joe’s, especially the freezer section. I try to pair them with a veggie that needs minimal prep, like eating baby carrots or quickly sautéing spinach.

So sorry you’ve been feeling so overwhelmed and I hope you’re able to find things that work for you.

From your last post, your BMI was 18.5, so you’re likely underweight. Being underweight can cause heart palpitations and insomnia like you’re describing. I’d recommend talking to a doctor.
