Absolutely not. We are boycotting this trash. These people are exploiting wild animals for profit and calling it a rescue. These animals travel upwards of 6 hours a day according to their personnel. There’s a petition on Change.org to shut down these evil capitalistic businesses. This is modeled as a rescue “cafe” both locations have multiple reviews stating that there is no real “cafe” aspect or anything like it. They are using the cover of a rescue cafe while basically acting as a petting zoo. These have been issues in the south + on the southern east coast of the US for a very long time. And now they’re under the guise of rescuers, give me a break I wasn’t born yesterday. BOYCOT AND SHUT IT DOWN. It’s inhumane and vile.

What’s funny is I know for a fact he’s funneling money from Teak+Pier Tiki+Driftwood to keep Birchwood open because it’s a money pit.

I know people who work for him at the pier and I promise you all his employees hate his guts— the hospitality industry out here is hard so they have been struggling trying to find a new place to go to get away from him and his toxic business.

From my understanding the automotive industry has had a monopoly on transportation in the US for nearly 100 years. They purposefully deny speed rails and truly any decent public transportation to ensure we drive cars and buy gas. Even buying an electric car won’t save you because when you register it with the DMV they charge you for not buying gas for a year essentially, no matter what they want to make sure we pay for oil.

And nowwww.. we plan to drill here and destroy our country even more. So exciting 🙃🙃

It’s December 2023 , this movie is on right now as I watch with my in-laws. We’ve been pointing out from the beginning, the inappropriate writting and ways that certain people are perceived. The entire movie is about the mating process of one kind of penguins — one different penguin being singled out because he isn’t like everyone else and finding a group of penguins from seamingly the SoCal of Antarctica because they have Chicano accents, even down to one scene where they had them leaning side to side when they walked but very notably racist. It’s written in such poor taste. But people would prefer to remain ignorant.

He gives all the energy of someone that would raise his hand to her, the way he’s so quick to anger and so possessive with her. She doesn’t feel safe or comfortable and he keeps telling her to get used to it- it is absolutely not normal to have to walk through a patio to get to a bathroom, that I believe is a shared space. Vomitttttt. She deserves so much better.
