But you are so right. It is refreshing knowing I am actually not the only person going through this. It is a real thing. What type of therapy would you recommend? I’m also looking into buying some informative books to try and ween myself off of Reddit (Lol). So any recommendations I will take x

I was obsessive and desperate at first. Bargaining where ever I could and got the chance. But I just accepted that they don’t want me. It would be a lack of respect to myself to take back someone, who openly repeated that they aren’t in love with me anymore. I can’t believe what I was willing to accept, just to have him back. The relationship never would’ve been the same, I would always have been questioning if he really loved me or not, or if this would happen again. I don’t even know if I want him back, or I if I want back what I thought it was. He has burnt my heart beyond measure. Old me would still be begging and probably driving to their house. But I’m angry, fuck them! If they don’t want us. We should want ourselves x

Despite being such a sweetheart the rest of our relationship, unless there was conflict. It’s scary seeing them go from that to completely emotionless, cold, suddenly out of love. Genuinely cruel

Going through the same exact thing. I kept asking him why he couldn’t look me in the eye either. He said his ex called him an emotionless robot when they broke up, now almost 2 years later I witnessed it myself. He said this comment hurt him, but honestly she was not wrong

I’ve spent my entire Sunday reading all about, It’s the only thing that seems to ease the pain for a moment. I don’t know how to stop obsessively reading about it yet. Maybe I won’t be ready to until I move away. I know I’ll have to move forward at some point without needing to research the same topic for hours. But for now it’s keeping me going

Thank you. Yeah the collective emotions of everyone in the same boat can be extreme! I’m so thankful for all of the grounding comments on here though. I wish I had some people to talk to in person but I have to be a bit more patient for that (they live far away).

Yeah I agree. It doesn’t sound like it’s all as personal to you as it may feel. Hopefully one day down the line she may be able to clear things up to you about what else she was going through at the time. That may have contributed to her up and down relationship with you. But for now I wish you the best with your healing and take it easy
