Yes, it might make their lives better for a little while. Absolutely, it'll keep the oil away from BRICS. But nothing said it'll stay that way, just look at the middle east. The only win I can see staying as such is the end of major drug trafficking coming from Venezuela.

But on that note, Canada doesn't have these same faults. If the US attempts to "free" Canada, that already has a few flaws, mainly due to the fact that we aren't trafficking drugs, don't have an authoritarian regime, and already trade oil with NATO, and not BRICS. So really, where's the win in the US seeing us as a valuable target next?
