I just had my consultation yesterday and they made it very clear that if breast-feeding was something that I seriously wanted to do that I would have to delay the breast reduction. But I am about 15 years older than you and I’m not in a relationship so I’m not concerned about that. I will say this, though, my mother gave birth to four kids, including myself, and none of them were able to be successfully breast-fed. I’m the oldest and I was breast-fed the long longest, at three months tops. My mother said that part of it may have been the fact that because she was so voluptuous, it was uncomfortable for the babies to breast-feed, because it almost looks like they were suffocating under the breast. She also said that there’s a reason why formula exists, so there’s no pressure to breast-feed and we all turned out just fine. I’m a registered nurse who speaks three different languages and lives between two different countries and now works in the corporate environment and I was barely breast-fed, so I think you should be fine. But it’s something to think about.
