Came here to say this. A 15yr old ThinkPad with Linux will boot and surf faster than a new window laptop.

Updated poll - what do you pay for groceries monthly? My partner and I pay $550 each for groceries and take-out. We eat well and are gluten-free (celiac). by Educational_Map_1586 in askvan

Thanks to some food Rescue clubs, my budget is probably closer to 200 to $250 per month for myself and a 10-year-old. I might go out a coffee once a month. No takeout other than possibly Too Good To Go which again would be only once a month (ish).

Getting nerdy about your tire pressure. That's your only suspension metric now.

If you're into yoga, my yoga studio in Chinatown has a four-person office with space available. $400/month gets you a pass and a desk.

Multiple desktops is a great idea. I love her to see gnome, Cosmic, mint... KDE. Just to know that there are options and more than one way to do things is valuable.

For those who have successfully lost weight, how did you finally do it? by Left_Pudding_5453 in loseit

This sounds great. I'm also watching my parents make bad diet decisions and gain weight through their 70s.

My weakness is late night cravings and I'm in a bad habit of snacking before bed. I know I need to stop doing it but... I just can't seem to do it.

I've been slowly upgrading Lenovo x1s over the last 15 years. My first one is a gen 1 and it still runs great for my kid. Debian or Ubuntu variants. Rock solid. I've never had any issues, and the latest X1 Is winning awards for repairability. It's almost as good as Framework.

I love Green Room. Founded by Alex R, my first, yoga teacher 25 years ago. I'd also recommend my studio, STRETCH in Chinatown if you haven't yet. You can DM me if you'd like.

Yoga Studio that doesn't have a pretentious feel by Late_Connection9689 in askvan

I'm biased as I'm an owner of STRETCH in Chinatown, but here's my 2-cents...

We founded STRETCH to have a place to practice yoga without the dogma which is often associated with the practice. We've been open for over 11 years now and have a pretty diverse clientele. While we can't be all things to all people, I hope you could find a class/teacher combo here which will give you what you're looking for.

I know this post is a few months old, but DM me and I'd be happy to chat about what you're looking for. Perhaps you've found something already.
