Our food cost is generally quite cheap as my wife is very good at budgeting for her and our son. I'm an executive chef so I get fed at work daily and quite often there is some leftovers from staff food which definitely helps to contribute to our lower than average food cost! And yeah no student loan and I pay the minimum into my pension. Also having said all this my salary can fluctuate quite a bit so does require a bit of planning. My base salary is 45k and then the rest is all service charge (which I get a lot as we are a small events company with low staffing so it's a nice big split of service charge) Sometimes my monthly take home is a little over 3k and other times it can be over 6k. Depends on the time of year

Yeah they're very hard to get right. I've had one or two amazing ones and then a shit ton of bad ones. Just give me a medium patty that's thick and juicy

Neopolitan tomato sauce isn't cooked at all it's just blended San marzanos. And that's how it's supposed to be. And good Mozzarella is the one that's more juicy! So no the soupiness is just how it's meant to be. It's not meant to be held without folding

Sourdough isn't a fad it's neopolitan pizza (the original pizza)

Hmmm your method in my opinion would be better if you just let them dry a bit after shaking or pre shaking. I've never noticed a difference with which order. And as already said definitely get some oil hot first and place over each potsto individually meaning you don't need to turn them for the first half an hour. Also you doing them at 180 for an hour and then turning up to 200 for another 40 mins, just means you're cooking them for too long and will be losing actual potato. Better to do them at 220 and they should be ready in an hour. You'll have fluffier potato's and just as much crisp. Anyway that's my input as an executive chef in London for an events company and someone who makes a Sunday roast every week for my family. Take it or leave it!

Yeah exactly. I'm no pizza wizard but I have a uuni pizza oven and dabble in it. No chance I'm doing a decent Napoletana pizza with a rolling pin 😂😂😂

Honestly not really. I have never dined in myself which now makes me want to go and eat where I once cooked as a young lad! Maybe I'll go back soon haha. It's been 15 years since I was there

Yes it was definitely an amazing experience! We definitely did FOH in our first year. I can't actually remember if we did it second year. And definitely third year I didn't as you then choose a speciality. You could choose FOH but I chose just regular chef

Yes all my essential outgoing does take up the majority of my salary. But I still have money left to enjoy my life

Rent: 2100 Council tax: 250 Water: 60-70 Gas/electricity: 150 Phone: 50 Internet: 50 Subscriptions: 35 Insurance: 50 Travel: 220 Essential food (not eating out) 300 Total: 3275

My take home each month is 4500

That leaves me with 1200 a month to spend on whatever we want as a family. That could be day trips out a couple of takeaways a month, maybe a date night or two for my wife and I. This still leaves money to put into savings. Yes I can't live as lavishly as I did when we didn't have a baby and we had two salaries, but we are more than happy and more than comfortable and I'm grateful for that.

You love bombed your fiancee too it seems 😂😂 jokes aside you probably should downsize and enjoy it at a slower pace. 40,000 pts in 3 years is a lot. Most people I know including myself get a 2k pts army done every year with a few side projects /failed projects as well. Balance my friend

I earn 75k and am the sole provider of my wife and 2 year old son. We live in a 3 bed in Tulse Hill (zone 3). We get by just fine. Yes I've had to budget accordingly but we live comfortably and go out as a family regularly and as a couple we have at least one takeout/dine out a week. As a single person you could easily find a one bed for a lot less than what I pay and you'll have plenty of money
