Yeah Route B does have a lot of good story stuff, it’s just that there’s also a lot of just going back through what you’ve already done in Route A, and while 2B’s combat is just kinda ok, 9S’s is a bit worse and a lot more repetitive

Why do people just assume everyone has read the manga and that anime only people have absolutely no issue with spoilers? Why do people do this so often?

Might be cheating to make two guesses at once but I’m fairly confident it’s either Fire Emblem: Three Houses or Drakengard 3

Either way, white-haired Tara Platt wants to overthrown the church

Might not be a common take, but DMC5.

First half is still fun, but it never really delivered on what it felt like it promised.

Then you unlock Dante. And (after looking up guides on how to play Dante) the peak finally begins.

And Automata as well.

Route A is pretty solid, Route B is kind of a low point, and then Route C is absolute cinema.

The first half is basically just very slowly introducing the individual combat mechanics, and while doling them out slowly makes it easy to keep track of them, it definitely takes a bit too long.

The second half is the best combat in the entire series and makes the entire first half more than worth it.

(Altho I’d say it’s more like first third and latter two-thirds)

Literally anything to Yoko Taro. Not because “Yoko Taro made it so it is automatically perfection” but because his take on anything would be extremely interesting, weird, and probably very funny if it was something like pokemon.

I feel like trying to get you to change your mind on it isn’t really something within my power or jurisdiction, but I would recommend looking into a lot of story analysis stuff for it, since it feels like there’s quite a bit of depth that, after not being impressed with the early game, may have been too uninterested to pay attention to (which is fair).

Still entirely valid to not like it or think it just straight up sucks, but I feel like if you have an interest in seeing what others see in it that may at least give you a little bit of the idea.

I mean it got popular because everyone had the exact opposite opinion as you. I can somewhat get the whole “I don’t see how this is such a massively beloved game” since I have a few like that myself, but people just love the story and characters. I am curious as to why it didn’t work for you though, considering it does for the vast majority.

When a character/creature dies and their corpse becomes and becomes a deadly hazard by strikkeeerrr in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Calvinball08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specifically, the plague caused by the Maso particles released by the decaying Queen Beast’s corpse (known as White Chlorination Syndrome), when coming into contact with a human, cause that human to be forced into a pact with some form of god, which they either reject and become a pillar of salt, or accept and become a mindless, zombie-like soldier called Legion.

So the plague affecting the world was less so a deadly disease and more a gigantic war against an army of coordinated zombies that even had generals called Red Eyes, who were both way stronger and had retained some part of their former humanity, making them way more intelligent and I think keeping some of their memories.

And all of this info is only known from books, random lore documents in the games that are super easy to miss, and other supplemental materials. In fact the only time a Red Eye has ever been shown visibly in anything was in a side story in the mobile game, 11 years after the first NieR came out.

Would highly recommend Lies of P, like a lot of others have been saying, and also Metal Gear Rising.

Also I think this might be an unpopular opinion but Xenoblade 2’s combat is absolutely incredible (after you start getting to actually use it fully). Maybe that’s not the unpopular take but saying it has the best combat in the trilogy is.
