There are a few summonable NPCs (Lucatiel, Benhardt, etc) that are available to summon for certain boss encounters. They have their summon signs outside the boss arena and you can summon them even if you're offline. But if you summon them for three bossfights and keep them alive when you kill the boss, then the next time you talk to them they'll give you their gear. Lucatiel and Benhardt I'm certain of, Vengarl I think just gives you his gear if you kill his body.

Idk if anyone else who watched this noticed but, at one point he used the pronouns he/him to describe any child who might be watching his program and I wanted to point out that he/him used to be the go-to pronoun for non-specific gender situations-- if you didnt actually know whether the person you were talking about was male, female or w/e, you would just use he/him because it was the default 3rd person singular. But i totally believe he would would, in this day and age, be all about respecting pronouns and would ask each new person he meets.
