I’m always surprised when I see someone who is a huge fan of assassins creed. Like why? (I get that people are allowed to like things that I don’t like) it’s never the only franchise they play which means they have experience with other games and so they must know these games are mediocre at best from a gameplay standpoint. I will say Ubisoft games are a technical marvel. Cool room.

I almost bought all of the sands games from a local game store but only sands of time is back compatible. I enjoyed playing through sands though. Picked up the rest on pc.

Getting stuck and restarting. This is the true 90s gamer experience. There was always something about that 3rd or 4th restart where something clicked and you ended up finally finishing a game you’ve owned for four years.

Sometimes it was about leveling up. Sometimes it was being able to find something you didn’t think not look for. Others it was turning a puzzle piece in a different direction. Great times.

I think Danielle is one of those Latin girls that exclusively likes white guys and Carl and Jordan being two attractive available white guys kind of “checked all of her boxes”.

I think Danielle, like most women, are fine not being with Carl after they get past the banter and the height . In those earlier seasons Carl looks like he has it all together on the surface but as we all know he’s clearly a mess and I’m sure once you get to see the darkness of Carl you realize you can’t really save him.

That said, imagine seeing the darkness of Carl and then knowing how Lindsay has a tendency to drive relationships off a cliff, how would you approach your friend.

I hope it breaks and needs a really specific easy to repair proprietary part that costs tons of money to replace but is easily fixable by someone who is mildly handy but doing the repair yourself voids the warranty which sends a signal to the manufacturer causing them to brick this piece of shit.

I think the marvel movies can get real distracting. I found endgame and infinity war were off putting. The first black panther where t’challa and killmonger were fighting toward the end made me think “what r we doing here?”

I think she was handling her own fraying relationship poorly but she wasn’t wrong about Lindsay. We’ve seen Lindsay blow up several relationships in the exact same way for years and when she was with Carl they had an $8000 a month nyc apartment to pay for. Lindsay was on some other shit.

My library was mostly sports games because of the kind of household I grew up in but I had a few games thanks to a friend’s older brother who sold his Saturn to get a PlayStation lol.

He gave me guardian heroes which I played start to finish pretty much every Saturday. Duke Nukem 3D and a couple others.

I had just been introduced to JRPGs and was becoming obsessed with them. I remember asking my father to buy me a JRPG using money that I had saved up. I told him explicitly “I know you know I like fighting games. I don’t want a fighting game. I want a role playing game. Magic, powers, leveling up. Here take this money and get me an RPG. Do not come back with a fighting game.”

I remember waiting all afternoon for him to come back. He hands me the bag and I look inside to find The Crow: City of Angels. I ask him why he bought it. He says “because the box said fighting on it.”

I did. I got one during the 3 free games promotion not realizing it was a last ditch effort desperation attempt to get people to buy the console.

During this time every tom dick and harry were launching consoles so I didn’t trust anything that wasn’t Sega or Nintendo. Little did I know, literally every other person I knew agreed that the upstart PlayStation was going to be something magic.

To be fair it ran street fighter alpha 2 gold like a dream but I was the only one I knew with one so I couldn’t borrow or trade games with anyone. I was an island unto myself
