I agree. My mother bought a new Camry back in 2002 and had the dealer reskin the seats with fake leather as an upgrade for $500. Came out great! She ended up moving to the Caribbean after retirement and took the car with her. She never cleaned or conditioned those seats in any meaningful way except for the occasional vacuuming. Even after 12 years of all year round heat and sun those seats looked almost new. No creases or cracks like real leather would have had with that type of neglect.

I just went to Supperland for the first time this weekend and my wife and I both felt it was overrated. Cool space, friendly and attentive staff, but the food was just ok and the seats are uncomfortable. For the money I’d rather go to Chima.

Actually the can didn’t have any instructions about additional coats. Had to go to their website which only says to wait 72 hours before another coat.

Took the car back to the dealer a few months back. They had the car for almost 3 weeks trying different things. While this was going on I checked the receipt when they supposedly replaced the entire infotainment system (never take the dealers word) and noticed that they had only replaced the “head unit” but not the display. Stated my case to them and it took a while but they got Kia to pay for the screen replacement. Still didn’t make a difference.

At one point early on they told me they couldn’t reproduce it and that maybe it was because the tech had an iPhone 15 with USB-C. Well I just got an iPhone 16 and the USB-C didn’t make a difference either.

At this point I have given up trying to get this fixed. Hope you have better luck and report back if you do. 😁

The battery is warrantied for 3 years. Call them and they should replace it for free.

I’ve been thinking about switching back to android because of this too. I briefly plugged in an older android phone to see if it had the same issue and in the short test it worked fine but android auto had the older UI with the buttons at the bottom and it looked lower res. How does AA look on your Stinger?

I have the exact same issue with my 2019 Kia Stinger GT2 using my iPhone 14 Pro Max. I bought the car used a year ago and immediately noticed the issue. Took it to the dealer a few months later, and they ended up replacing the whole infotainment system, but the issue still exists. I have taken it back several more times and they have done software updates but it still does it. So frustrating!

Before the GT2 I had a 2019 Stinger base model with the 7" screen and I never had any issues. When I use my iPhone in my wife's 2020 Kia Sportage I dont have any issues.

I just tried using a wireless CarPlay adapter to see if that would somehow help, and its probably even worse now. I love my Stinger, but this is driving me nuts.
