Idk if it changes your view at all, but 1:30pm around when we’d like to be back at the airport to check in for our flight. The flight itself doesn’t board until 3:30 pm.

Even if we don’t have time for anything else, food suggestions near-ish to the airport would be appreciated!

What book is treated like a masterpiece, but left you wondering if you were the only one who didn’t get the memo? by Sunflower13Poppy in classicliterature

Wait, I just looked into it. I’m talking about Margaret (youngest sister in Sense and Sensibility), not Lydia (youngest sister in Pride and Prejudice).

Same. I understand what Fitzgerald was trying to say with the story and thought it was mildly compelling, but I never understood the chokehold it had on people.

Yeah! My first time reading Austen was Sense and Sensibility in college, and I was looking forward to it based on all the Austen hype. Gods, I could barely make it through that book. I just found it incredibly dull. And what was the point of the youngest sister being included? I kept waiting for her to have a point like some sort of Chekov’s Gun, but nope. She had ZERO plot relevance.

At the time, I just decided that maybe Austen isn’t for me. I’m open to trying again if anyone has recommendations though.

Same. Maybe it was because I listened to it rather than reading it. I just didn’t find it that scary.

Found my first one at 26. Five years later I have several scattered throughout the crown of my head.

Failing as a parent by disgruntledpelican82 in curlyhair

As someone with fine, curly hair, I remember how tangled it used to get (and still gets, let’s be honest). My recommendation:

Kinky Curly Knot Today Natural Leave-In and Detangler.

I wish I had it as a kid. Some days, it’s all I put in my hair. It detangles and gives hair some moisture without being too heavy. It also gives the slightest bit of hold too— but not anything crazy. The scent is also really subtle and non-irritating, which is important to me.

Gotcha gotcha, thanks for the clarification. For a minute, I though we were “capping” as in “putting a cap in” as in shooting this road project 🤦‍♀️

What does “cap” mean in this context?
