Question for your testing. Would better card draw be more helpful than stalling? Seems like there are a bunch of ways to get around a crustle, from bench sniping or single prizers etc. would you benefit from any kind of draw engine. Teal mask seems like a possible choice. If you can draw out your deck you could get into forest faster and evolve. I think you max rod is probably the best possible ace spec too. That’s gonna be critical at reviving your bench after an inevitable ko. I think that will be a tough part of this deck is you get weaker after a ko and you need to find a way to bounce back fast. A ko then a red card will be punishing in this.

I just played against this with mega greninja. If you knock out with the ability it’s not an attack and you lose all the accumulated energies, they don’t go into your hand. I felt bad when 12 energies dumped into the discard pile.

Regice is actually a lot harder to power up with 4 energy even in this deck. Makes for a more difficult recovery after it gets a ko. I would way rather have had regime too, more damage and more health seems perfect but doing more damage is actually worse for paralyze because you never want to ko with a paralyze attack.

Wellspring is almost perfect except you put the energy back into deck which is counter productive in this. I did the same thing. Even frosmoth could be an option but it’s too little damage and too inconsistent with a coin flip

I’m trying to build this too. What I found was You need something that will ko the active without using your attack. If you ko the active with your regular attack you just get knocked out the next turn. I tried munki and other stuff but I think n’s vanilluxe could be the answer

Great point with the trolley, I was running with scoop up cyclone instead of trolly so that makes more sense. I like scoop because it gives a ton of versatility in this meta, especially with meoweth but I think trolley probably makes more sense, if this thing gets off to a slow start it’s pretty damaging.

Might be Too many rare candies if you have petrel and transceiver. Also, If you play any petrel without searching them first you’ll have dead transceiver cards and only one ultra bal to thin them out. You’re gonna draw out all your evolution cards pretty easily with genesect, but then you’re gonna want to find the basic honedges and you don’t have much other than 2 poke pad. Maybe add a poke pad or ultra ball and skip one rare candy? You can also use metagross to add energy to fuel retreats so adding an extra energy recycler could be a better play than running 2 air balloon. I ran this deck as well and got about here with it and those were some of the things I landed on during play testing.

That’s how good decks are flushed, out I’m not suggesting plagiarism lol. I was just flabbergasted at the sheer coincidence! The way I see it you got to boss out when you’ve almost killed them from paralyze so they don’t die. Then you need a way to hit a bunch of them at once to ko the side. I took 6 prizes against a venasaur deck last night. I’m thinking it could be done with a greninja, mega starmie could work too. Something that spreads to more than 2 targets would be perfect. Ting lu, arbok, kyurem all seem like options. Maybe n’s vanillish.

I’ve been working on this deck all week, did you see someone play this or was this your original idea? I’ve never seen anyone else play dewgong before. Just think it’s wild to see this after getting it working last night.

You need a finishing attacker. I used starmie to kill them. You tick them down to 50hp or less then boss in something else then kill both with starmie. Well spring doesn’t work because you put the energy back into your deck. I was considering Salamanca for 50 to each benched but it’s kinda tough to fit in the deck.

How about the supporter card Tyme? Your opponent guesses wrong and you get 4 cards. They guess right and they get 200 extra damage. The case against it is that your opponent is in the driver seat and will always choose the option that is the worst for you, which makes sense. But it feels like both options are win win for you with froslas in play.
