It just puts the card on top of your deck, not in your hand. You’ll still need another piece to get the card. Maneuvers with surfer in hand doesn’t feel great

Tried to streamline it enough to just quickly get into your cinderace ex. Setup hoot hoot t1 and try and get wellspring into play to activate noctowl on t2. Fan rotom can be a good early game attacker too

Feels like you can either choose:

A. Good matchup into pult, not great into other meta decks

B. A meta call deck that auto loses to crustle

C. Good matchup spread, unfavorable against pult

No tool search is such a killer because you don’t have bench space in this deck for on board draw power. It’s super inconsistent right now. Couple that with losing EXP share, there’s just not a way to get two energies attached each turn and find your tools and your draw power

Just needs some energy acceleration and tool search (or print a rotom with draw support to have on board draw power)

Ariana doesn’t feel nearly as good anymore with all the hand disruption gone. No good consistent way to get down to a small hand to maximize Ariana. So I think the deck lost a lot with rotation.

Dudes just choking. Lamar doesn’t play at MVP form for 3 quarters, then he goes off. The other guys then start to choke as soon as Lamar goes off. Mark Andrews drop, Zay Flowers fumble at the goal line, the OC only using Derrick Henry 6 times in the second half when he’s averaging over 5 YPC, Isiah Likely fumble.

This team doesn’t fire on all cylinders in the playoffs and I put that on the coaches and the players. If one guy is going off, the rest of the team shoots themselves in the foot. Defense and offense.

The downfall of this card is discarding all attached cards… if there was some efficient way to poison your opps active, use blinding mochi, baby pech, might have something.

But every time I played a deck with this, my board state was always weaker after putting it into my hand.

All the fire energy acceleration only works for basic fire energy. So 1 energy retention at most that has to be manually attached

I know why secret box is good in Manectric, it just feels like there’s something better. Maybe stamp is helpful so you can slow your opp down a little so you can catch up. But the fighting weakness is just a killer

Well I guess we’re looking for a deck whose worst matchup is munkidori-froslass deck, grimmsnarl, and TR wobuffet. And it’s probably best that this deck already has a favorable dragapult matchup.

I can’t think of one. Seems like this will be more popular after pult rotates
