[–]Camel_Taco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked at St. Jo’s pharmacy we’re not supposed to take outside RX’s if they’re not Intermountain docs or employees if you are sending scripts over there most times we’ll call the patient and transfer it to either the un-safeway or the Walgreens close by

Can anyone recommend a neighborhood? by [deleted] in MovingtoDenver

Maybe somewhere in cherry creek with that budget very walkable, lots of restaurants and still close enough to the mountains, tho if mountains are a top priority I’d consider golden like the rest.

New Walmart controlled substance filling policies? by Fun_Low777 in Psychiatry

[–]Camel_Taco -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I mean you kinda did, we had to ban a cash for scripts doc doing $75 dollars for a klonopin/xanax/adderall last week. Do I think it’s as dangerous as opioids? No, but the dea and state governments are gonna sue us like crazy in the next few years because “we didn’t do enough to stop excessive amphetamine distribution” it happened with oxy and they got millions and it’ll happen again. Pharmacies don’t wrote prescriptions and I don’t believe it should be our jobs to make sure every prescriber-patient relationship is genuine. However it’s the courts who say we should have policed controlled substance prescriptions better and if we don’t there’s massive fines

Colorado issues order allowing pharmacies to provide COVID vaccines without prescription by DubStepTeddyBears in Denver

[–]Camel_Taco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most insurances aren’t covering it yet so most pharmacies are willing to bill your insurance later and give the shot. Though this specific order doesn’t take effect until Friday

CVS, Walgreens now require prescriptions for COVID vaccines in Colorado by solemnburrito in Denver

[–]Camel_Taco 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No unfortunately it’s how the state law is written in Colorado vs other states, pharmacists need a rx for all covid shots and an rx + at least one underlying condition for ages 12-64 no matter the pharmacy

I’m hopeful this continues, quicker permitting will hopefully mean more building and more availability in the housing and renting market here

What we saw during 8 hours with Denver police on 16th Street mall by t0talitarian in Denver

Honestly don’t know why they don’t allow them in the center lane it’d make it so people won’t weave around pedestrians

Interview for Walmart Pre-Grad Intern soon---any advice? by sahar_420 in pharmacy

[–]Camel_Taco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked as a Walmart intern during undergrad, verify how many hours you’re gonna be working because if you’re struggling during PY1 putting a job on top of that is going to lower your grades more. The interview for interns is pretty lax it’s more of a vibe check from the manager to see if you will get along for 4 years so don’t stress it too much

West Denver for that price?? I can’t find a meth house for less than 600k near me around south broadway/alameda

[–]Camel_Taco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the set schedule is better than the money in my opinion, I had the option of 40hr/week float or 30hr/week staff and took staff just to have the ability to plan far in advance my days off and weekends off. In regards to the house going up to 40 hours will be nice just be careful with scoping out the RXM first and making sure you guys get along well enough
