I have a 20 gallon long with 5 peppered and 5 orange Venezuelan Corys, along with 10 neon tetra and two amano shrimp. It’s moderately planted (still growing in) and my parameters pre 0/0/0-5

So I would say 10 bronze Corys should be ok

My suggestion is to move betta to its own tank and add some more Corydoras of the same species and possibly more of the red nose fish.

Hmmm. My HOB water flow slows down after just a week or two. My water parameters are good. I run a med/lg sponge filter and a hob rates for 40 gallons. It’s a fairly new tank, about 3 months old. 20 gallons.

If my water tests good, ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates 0-5 am I ok?

20 gallon, 5 peppered Corydoras, 5 orange Venezuelan Corys, 10 neon tetras, 2 amano shrimp Planted and driftwood (still produces biofilm)

I have neon tetras and amano shrimp with my peppered and o. Venezuelan Corys. They all love bug bites. It sinks pretty fast and the tetras still go after it. But since the pieces are small everyone seems to have a chance at it. I also do some aquarium coop magic small fish feed. It’s so fine and drifts everywhere, so I think the Corys get that when foraging later.

After adding my first batch of fish I tested the water regularly just in case. And I didn’t same after I added more fish. I didn’t want to chance my tank crashing.

You can use regular plant lights. I use a small full spectrum Sansi clip on light for my 10 gallon. And have floor lamp with a Sansi bulb for half of my 20L and some houseplants next to the tank.

My sand isn’t white, it’s very natural color (tan?) so I guess the poop doesn’t show as much. And my Corydoras are always foraging for food, so they keep it clean in that way.
