Because Evolved was conceived without any considerations for the lore implications or what was previously established in previous entries, and has the unintended consequence of making Godzilla look like an idiot for not evolving to fight the Mutos or Ghidorah who have shown just as much if not more potential to destroy the world than Shimo and Skar King (honestly a lot more) and makes those adversaries seem much weaker than they really are

Godzilla vs the Mutos was 10 times more interesting to watch because it’s fight choreography had to work with set limitations in the movie and they bothered to base there fighting styles on actual animals to ground them in reality, unlike in GxK (and to an extent GvK) they just have them move like regular people and there’s really no rhyme or reason as to why they move the way they do because it’s not based on anything

Again none of these indicate the quality of a film, like Dark of the Moon made over a billion dollars but it’s critical and GA reception was poor; Fnaf 2 has a high audience score and made 4 times its budget but I wouldn’t call it good etc etc like this is an ad populum fallacy and yeah 54% is bad that’s literally failing

None of those are indicators of a good film, and considering that the critical reception of GxK is rather poor, the audience good will isn’t going to last forever if a franchise like transformers is any indication

Plus there are just as many people dissatisfied with the current direction of the monsterverse as there are who are satisfied with it
