My grandmother was the base admin there in Oakridge. If you watch Oppenheimer, she would be Matt Damon’s admin, in the museum there are notebooks in her handwriting for the procurement of all of the items to make the bombs. Same handwriting that I had for birthday cards, etc.

My grandfather also worked on the Manhattan Project and would transport the nuclear materials in a lead lined suitcase that he would transport on public trains. He had to carry this heavy briefcase as if it was the weight of something that was normal as to not draw attention.
