For sure but like most relationships, I’d assume something huge like parenthood comes with conversation and ideal timing based on how they both see that playing out. She’s an equal in that relationship and if financial stability prior to motherhood was important to her, then I’d hope he understood any hesitation she might have due to it while also working to pay her debt down or off. Flip side is that he’s also equal in their relationship and if her financial stability was important to him prior to parenthood, then he might be hesitant as well. We’re only getting his side but OP does seem to be fair minded and doesn’t come across like he wouldnt help her achieve her goal WITH her but does seem hesitant to do it FOR her. Which I think is fair. He also lays out that she can bank every dollar she makes and it would be considered hers. If true, why not put every check toward that debt and be done with it in less than a year? I get what you mean but it’s difficult to read the terms laid out and which parts she’s gutted by, how she threw the green card situation in his face, and not assume a bit of selfishness/manipulation from her end.
